We are an alternative provision academy located in Pride Park in Derby City. We are proud to provide high-quality curriculum offer to the pupils of Derby, and a second opportunity to succeed in education. Our objectives at KS3 are to re-engage pupils with the curriculum, develop resilience, and successfully re-integrate them back into mainstream education. At KS4 our aims are to prepare students for the next stage of their post-16 journey equipped with the required qualifications and experiences. Our vision is to empower our students and staff with determination, pride and ambition to reach their full potential.

Another proud moment today as we played our 2nd competitive game against Esteem Valley Academy ⚽️ A great game that was played the right way and finished off with handshakes and great sportsmanship from all involved 🙌 Topped off with a 6 - 3 win for DPA! 😃 Well done to all involved and we look forward to the rematch in the new year 👍
KS3 had the pleasure of spending Friday with @artgoon365 , where they used a known cartoon character and made changes to reflect Christmas and representation within the community. Thank you to Christian for giving his time to our pupils after we had the pleasure of visiting his Trap Art exhibition held at @broadwaycinema in October. Nice visit for us today at Derby Pride Academy from our Derby South MP Baggy Shanker MP. Very complimentary about the work we are doing and congratulated us on retaining our Outstanding status. He visited classrooms taking and answering questions from our students and enjoyed listening to our students ideas and views on what is happening in our local community and country. We are now looking at planning a visit to London for our students to tour Parliament!
