Modules are continuing to land and be installed at our Bournbrook Road site, which is part of our project to build 80 new zero carbon homes across three new sites for Royal Borough of Greenwich. The modules have been constructed off site using sustainable methods (MMC), which increase efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. #loveconstruction #GreenwichBuilds #councilhomes #zerocarbon #mmc

Congratulations to our Resident Liaison Officer, Cydney Tucker, who recently passed her Site Management Safety Training Scheme course. We were delighted to welcome 12 students from Shooters Hill Sixth Form College for a tour of our Well Hall Road project for Royal Borough of Greenwich on Monday. Our Site Manager, Dave Conroy, and Contracts Manager, Marnie Greenwood, gave the students an insight into the construction of the site. Plus, our Social Value Manager, Ayesha, and Greenwich Builds' Social Value Officer, Reme, explained the social value initiatives that are being delivered in the local area as part of the project. SHC Teacher, Paul McDermott, said: “The students who attended really enjoyed the experience and gained a lot of insight into construction practices from it." #loveconstruction #greenwichbuilds #newbuild #mmc #councilhomes

It was great to see the first batch of modules landing at our Bournbrook Road site, where we're building five houses and 10 apartments, using a sustainable method of modular construction (MMC). This is one of three sites making up our The Brooks project for Royal Borough of Greenwich, which includes construction of 80 new zero carbon council homes across three sites. #loveconstruction #greenwichbuilds #newhomes #zerocarbon #councilhomes

November is #MensHealthAwarenessMonth, an initiative designed to encourage men to start conversations about their health and seek support. A key part of the campaign is breaking the silence and stigma surrounding mental ill-health, which is a significant problem amongst men, and particularly those in the construction industry. At Elkins, we aim to encourage open and honest conversations about mental health. Our Mental Health First Aid team are always on hand to talk, and have also been sharing resources with our employees this month on some of the free confidential support services available, including Mates in Mind, The Lighthouse Charity, Samaritans, Mind, Campaign Against Living Miserably and SHOUT.
