The Aspire Academy, the newest school to join Esteem, has some fantastic vocational offers both on-site and off-site, one of which is their partnership with Bransford Court Farm. The students get the opportunity to work with animals, plant crops and contribute to the farm's sustainability practices, alongside Farmer Phil. Transport is critical in Special and alternative provision schools. Been able to take the pupils to different places can help them on their learning journey.

Elmsleigh Infant & Nursery School’s Eco Council spent the afternoon planting new trees in their wonderful forest school 🌱🌳 The children know lots about the benefits of having healthy trees in our environment and are using this to help make their school more sustainable 🌍 #Sustainability #SustainableEducation #MultiAcademyTrust

Our English offer is very important to us at ESA. We align our core subject offer to our mainstream partners to ensure and promote a smooth transition back into education. Year 10 are doing a character study from the book "A Christmas Carol." This is to prepare them for their GCSE in the next academic year. 🎄 Primary are working with our phonics intervention lead in their daily Read Write Inc session with a little help from Fred the frog who can only speak in letter sounds! 🐸 These daily interventions help to fill the learning gap.

Nice visit for us today at Derby Pride Academy from our Derby South MP Baggy Shanker MP. Very complimentary about the work we are doing and congratulated us on retaining our Outstanding status. He visited classrooms taking and answering questions from our students and enjoyed listening to our students ideas and views on what is happening in our local community and country. We are now looking at planning a visit to London for our students to tour Parliament!

Despite the snow on Tuesday we still managed to hold our 2nd Esteem Multi-Academy Trust climate taskforce meeting. We were lucky to be supported by Jo Pettifer of Let's Go Zero to support the discussions around climate action plans. Reflection on what we have achieved so far and what support we can give to each school was fantastic. Looking forward to our next meeting in February 2025 and what we can achieve in the year to come.
