💬 "B2B marketing isn’t about gut instincts or just being creative; it’s about understanding your audience through data and letting that guide your decisions," Sarah Higgins Creative B2B Jury President Eurobest Great campaigns are born from this intersection of insight and execution. As I discussed with Sarah: ❝When you know your audience deeply, it’s not about making something everyone in the room likes—it’s about creating something your customer loves.❞ I have often referred to this as building Homer Simpsons car - you know the episode where Homer is asked by his newly discovered half brother (played by Danny DeVito) to build the everyman car. Well it doesn't end well. When we try listen to everyone we end up with a lack of clarity and, ok it may not end as bad as it does for Homer's half brother Herb! This was something Sarah agreed adding: ❝The best campaigns are mirrors to the data. They reflect clever, imaginative ways to solve real customer challenges.❞ The lesson seems clear: invest in robust data analysis, but don’t let it stifle creativity. The campaigns that succeed are those that find harmony between precision and imagination. Of course this is easier said than done.
