On Friday night, we were very proud to be awarded "Customer Care Initiative of the Year" at the G Awards 2024. Spencer Payton, Head of Residential, sums up our fantastic achievement perfectly: "our customers are at the heart of everything that we do. Our Central Operation in Norwich has had a makeover! Many of our colleagues have come together over the last few weeks to create fantastic reception and meeting room spaces that showcase our people, our products, and our work. We are particularly pleased with our new floor to ceiling canvass. This photograph shows a successfully completed, technically complex glazing project in Piccadilly, London. Our Projects team managed the installation of 26 panes of unique glazing, sourced from a specialist manufacturer, including some of the largest units ever installed by Evander. This high-specification glazing project in one of the most challenging urban environments in the world earned us a finalist spot in the Commercial Project of the Year Category at the G Awards 2024. We are absolutely delighted to be nominated as finalists in no less than 3 categories at the G Awards 2024, for Commercial Project of the Year, Customer Care Initiative of the Year and Training & Development Initiative of the Year. These awards celebrate innovation and exceptional performance in the glazing industry, and we are very proud to reach the final stages of judging; it is a fantastic endorsement of the great work that we do here at Evander. Last week, colleagues from across our Central Operation in Norwich came together to spend their volunteering day with the Zoological Society of East Anglia at Africa Alive. Our volunteers supported with gardening and facilities work, and they were rewarded for their efforts with a fantastic opportunity to see the animals up close! We were delighted to be able to host the Norfolk Chambers of Commerce this morning for their regular members meeting where we discussed all things business, and in particular how we raise our voice around what our region has to offer. Our colleagues were out and about in the Norfolk sunshine this week, using their volunteering days to support some fantastic local causes. We had a great time helping with facilities and maintenance at Zoological Society of East Anglia Banham Zoo and supporting the NORFOLK RIVERS TRUST to reduce the spread of invasive, non-native plants to restore and protect water environments. A huge thank you to Banham Zoo and the Norfolk Rivers Trust for having us and to our Evander colleagues for supporting the important work that they do. #weareevander #ourpeople #volunteering

Rachel Whittaker and Lee Waller had a great time on Thursday, representing Evander at the Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards. To round off a fantastic evening, we were extremely proud to receive the Claims Training Excellence Award, in recognition of Evander's training collaboration with Victim Support. This training equips our colleagues with enhanced empathy skills and valuable knowledge to support customers who have been impacted by crime. This month, we are proud to be supporting Plantlife International's No Mow May campaign at our Central Operation in Norwich. The campaign encourages garden owners and green space managers not to mow their lawns and let wildflowers grow until at least the end of May.
