  • Sprinkle your magic wherever you go because the world needs more of you. Whether it’s in a meeting, a coffee queue, or a LinkedIn post, leave a trail of creativity, humour, and a little dash of ridiculousness (the good kind). Life’s too short to be serious all the time unless you’re a professional tightrope walker; then, by all means, focus! For the rest of us, let’s embrace the chaos, share the laughs, and inspire the world to think differently. Who knows? Your unique sparkle might just be the missing piece in someone else’s puzzle. Thank you Art of Brilliance

  • Since COVID many are given a choice to work at home or the office and many are offered a hybrid approach. Do you prefer to work at home or in the office? Happy Monday! So where are you working from? A new report from office consultancy experts, Making Moves, surveyed over 2,000 working adults and found that spending at least some days in the office boosts happiness levels. According to the findings, only 19.23% of workers reported feeling unhappy working from the office on any day, with this number dropping to 7.95% among Gen Z workers. This suggests that the majority (80.77%) of UK office workers feel positive about being in the office at least part-time. According to the study, the top reasons for UK office workers to work from the office include: 🔵 Socialising with colleagues – (41.52%) 🔵 Getting out of the house – (39%) 🔵 Better collaboration and communication with colleagues – (35.69%) 🔵 Feeling more productive in an office environment – (30.85%) 🔵 Having a dedicated workspace – (30.45%) 🔵 Maintaining better work-life boundaries – (30.20%) The report also revealed that Friday is the most enjoyable day to work from the office, while Thursday ranks as the least preferred. • Happy Monday! I thought I’d share four really interesting statistics that I found about Mondays. 🔵 Productivity Peak: According to research by YouGov, we are most productive at the start of the week, with Monday mornings showing a productivity peak. Productivity levels tend to dip by Thursday and Friday as people wind down for the weekend. 🔵 High Job Search Rates: Monday is the most popular day for UK job seekers, with data from Reed and LinkedIn showing that job searches spike at the start of the week. This trend suggests that the “Monday blues” may push people to seek new opportunities. 🔵 Coffee Consumption Surge: According to the British Coffee Association, coffee consumption is highest on Monday mornings, with UK coffee shops reporting increased sales to help ease people back into the workweek. 🔵 Motivation Low: In a survey by Totaljobs, nearly half of UK workers (47%) report feeling least motivated on Mondays, finding it the toughest day to get back into the work mindset after the weekend. These statistics show we may need extra support and motivation! Here are my three quick strategies to beat the Monday blues: 1. Plan a Positive Start: Schedule something enjoyable for Monday mornings—a favourite breakfast, a quick coffee with a friend, or a short walk—to give yourself something to look forward to. 2. Set One Easy Win: Choose one simple, achievable task for Monday. Completing it early boosts motivation and gives you momentum for the day. 3. Ease Into Work: Start with lighter tasks or short breaks between tasks. Gradually ramping up focus helps make the transition back into the work routine feel less jarring. These small changes can make Mondays feel more manageable and maybe even enjoyable! Have a great week. x

  • A recent survey by BambooHR highlights that employee satisfaction has taken a turn for the worse resulting in the lowest overall average score in four years. The average score was 10% lower than in December 2020, the year that brought us a global pandemic! When asked in the survey 'What would improve the situation?', there were numerous themes suggested which included greater organisational transparency and having a clear roadmap for the future that isn’t a moving target. When employees feel that their work truly matters, they’re happier and more committed to the organisation. The best workplaces are those where people work hard because they’re genuinely motivated, not just because they’re told to. People who find a sense of purpose at work tend to be more resilient and productive than those who don’t feel connected to the company’s culture. Building this kind of purpose-driven environment requires leadership to shape and reinforce it actively. It is about making sure the purpose is embedded in the company’s core values and it is shared openly. I find it is really important to encourage a shared sense of purpose by helping employees understand how their own contributions drive the company’s success. And while short-term goals are important, it’s the long-term vision that keeps teams inspired and engaged. Aligning purpose, vision and impact is essential. -------------------------------------- 𝗜 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀. • Almost everything works again if you unplug it for a bit... including YOU! Take a moment to pause, recharge, and disconnect from the hustle. It’s amazing how much clarity and energy you’ll gain when you allow yourself to reset, just like your laptop or phone. • What makes a truly thriving workplace? A key element is about empowering people to bring their best, most authentic selves to work every day. I thought of five areas that create a healthy workplace, as follows: 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 Self-awareness is essential for both personal and professional growth. It's about understanding our strengths, weaknesses, and motivations and knowing how we contribute to a team. Regular one-on-one coaching and feedback from trusted colleagues can also foster meaningful self-reflection. When employees know themselves well, they perform better! 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 Purpose brings meaning to work. Organisations can support employees in aligning their roles with personal goals by providing career development programs that explore different paths. Managers should have purpose-focused conversations with team members, connecting their work to both personal fulfilment and the company's mission. 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦 Recognising your strengths is essential, but believing in your value is just as important. Organisations can boost employees' confidence by acknowledging individual contributions, not just team achievements. Celebrating different working styles and offering mentorship opportunities shows employees that they’re appreciated. Creating a culture of recognition, where even small wins are celebrated helps employees feel that their work matters. Over time, this builds self-esteem and a sense of belonging, encouraging everyone to bring their best to work. 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 Real engagement happens when employees feel they can be their true selves. A culture of psychological safety, where people can share ideas, thoughts, and even mistakes without judgment key. When employees know they won’t be penalised for honesty, they’re more likely to contribute meaningfully. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 In a fast-paced work environment, resilience is essential. When employees are resilient, they’re more confident in handling challenges and leveraging their unique qualities. When employees feel valued, seen, and supported, they contribute at their best, driving not only personal growth but the success of the whole team. Nurturing these qualities builds a workplace where everyone thrives together. Empowering people, celebrating their wins, and encouraging them to bring their true selves to work every day, helps create an environment where psychological safety thrives. ------------------------------ 𝗜 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀.  𝗜 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 https://bit.ly/4h2kjZv #GrowthMindset #TeamCulture #WorkplaceWellbeing

  • Mondays can feel like a fresh start or a bit of a drag, but either way, they offer us a powerful reminder: happiness is something we create with small, intentional actions. Whether it’s setting a positive intention for the week, practising gratitude, or taking a moment to breathe, we have the power to create our own happiness. Just choose one small action to make this week brighter. I hope you have a great week. #MondayMotivation #Happiness #Wellbeing
