GAD actuaries have delivered a session on commercial awareness to first year actuarial students at Bayes Business School - City, University of London. As part of GAD’s programme, 2 actuaries, Tejas Dholakia (left) and Sam Davies (right), provided an introduction into the importance of developing commercial awareness skills. The session was attended by approximately 45 students, who learned about GAD’s projects and key considerations in our investment work. The students then enjoyed a quiz which tested their current commercial awareness.

We have published our Annual Report and Accounts which sum up the work of the Government Actuary’s Department in the 2023 to 2024 financial year. The Government Actuary Fiona Dunsire, said: “GAD has provided valuable analysis and insight into pressing, complex challenges in the public sector.
