We are pleased to have supported the successful bidder, Vårgrønn, in its entrance into the German offshore wind market placing the transactional risk insurance for its acquisition from PGGM of a 27.4% stake in the operational Baltic 2 offshore wind farm off the coast of Germany. Working initially with sell-side advisors Rothschild & Co and Linklaters LLP and then subsequently the buy-side advisor Schjødt.   The team at HWF was led by Yolanda Yong, with support from Rowley Higgs, Leo Domingo and Aidan Fazakerley.

We’re pleased to share the final quarterly update of 2024. The growth in deal volume continued through the final quarter of 2024, underscoring robust market activity. The average deal size in Q4 2024 declined compared to Q3, reflecting the market’s focus on wider transactions. Average policy limits rose significantly across most sectors, with a notable 16.84% increase (excluding Infrastructure). Average retentions decreased across all sectors.
