On Monday night Ryan Hume had the privilege of joining around 80 fellow business leaders in the Greater Manchester CEO Sleepout to raise awareness and crucial funds for the fight against homelessness. This experience raised awareness of the reality that hundreds in our community endure every night. Homelessness is a growing crisis in Greater Manchester, with rates among the highest in the UK. While spending one night outdoors can't begin to compare to the daily struggles faced by those without shelter, the event aimed to spotlight this issue and rally support. Every pound raised goes directly toward local charities that provide shelter, meals, and essential services for individuals and families in desperate need. Together, we’ve raised over £60,000! It was great to see one of our partners take part, thank you Core Renewables for standing beside us in support of this critical cause. #ceosleepout #homeless #charity #manchester #greatermanchester #business #businessleaders #homelessness

Tonight, our Managing Director, Ryan Hume, will be joining the CEO Sleepout - a night where business leaders come together to sleep under the stars, putting themselves in the shoes of those facing homelessness. Ryan is taking this step not only to raise funds but to deepen awareness and support for those experiencing homelessness. The CEO Sleepout has raised over £4.5 million since its inception, channelling essential resources to more than 200 frontline charities across the UK, each making a real difference in the fight against homelessness. If you’d like to support this cause, every donation counts. Visit Ryan’s page here: https://lnkd.in/eJ6uJQzA Let’s make a difference, together. #CEOSleepout #EndHomelessness #HiveInfrastructure

🌟 Meet our Chartered Manager of the Week: Ryan Hume CMgr FCMI 🌟 Ryan spent six years in the military, joining straight after GCSEs. On leaving, he felt he needed to gain formal accreditation in management. His first step was to use a 360-degree review to assess his management skills. Although he scored highly in most areas, he scored low for empathy. “It shocked me actually,” he admits. “But as the tool requires insight from colleagues at all levels, I realised it was something I had to address, so I started to explore it. “Before CMI, I would deal with things in a certain way. On one occasion, I remember there was a contractual dispute and I had to reprioritise work and resources. I had to tell my team where I was allocating the resources and therefore who wouldn’t be allocated any. I don’t think it went down too well. I see now that I didn’t deliver the message in a very empathetic way.” Ryan’s journey with CMI has helped him identify areas for development. His focus as a manager now aligns with CMI’s ethical management practices and he’s passionate about nurturing a growth mindset for himself and his team. “Becoming Chartered has elevated my career. It’s helped me refine my strategic thinking and reinforced values of professionalism and ethical leadership. Crucially, it’s given me the confidence and framework to lead with integrity and drive lasting change.” 👉 Find out more about becoming a Chartered Manager here: https://bit.ly/3Wj5bND – and get 10% off the price of a full assessment with promo code: CMSocDisc10 #CharteredManager #CMgr #Management #Leadership #Careers

Our sponsorship goes beyond financial support; we aim to help the boys understand the value of money and connect them with the great outdoors. Hive Infrastructure is thrilled to share that we are working with Bolton Council to support the delivery of the Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure programme, which Daniel Brady will be leading. Daniel was Hive Infrastructure’s first hire, joining us from the Royal Navy in January 2024. Recognising his potential, Hive Infrastructure collaborated with Bolton Council, proposing a work placement that would provide Daniel with valuable experience. Both organisations, committed to the Armed Forces Covenant, saw the mutual benefits of this initiative. Daniel commenced his placement in late January 2024, and fast forward three months, his impressive contributions led Bolton Council to retain his services until 2026 to work on their Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure programme. This success story highlights the power of local authorities and businesses working together to support service leavers in transitioning to civilian workplaces. We hope this sets a precedent for similar pathways in the future. A big thank you to Bolton Council for their continued support of service leavers and local businesses. Dwayne Lowe CEng FCHIT FIHE, Assistant Director Highways and Planning at Bolton Council said, “Thank you to Hive Infrastructure for making us aware of the opportunity. We are always very supportive of those who have served in our armed forces; Daniel has already provided valued support in development of key strategies and projects and will be a key asset in successful delivery of our EV charging network.” #HiveInfrastructure #BoltonCouncil #ServiceLeavers #ArmedForcesCovenant #SustainableInfrastructure #EVCharging #MilitaryTransition #TFGM #VeteranSuccess #Infrastructure
