We had a unique team away day, hosted by our customer, Leyton Orient Football Club. It was fantastic to see the solar panels we finance for them in situ (a scheme designed and installed by us and our partners, Ampergia). We also saw the football ground in action that evening, watching the LOFC vs. Colchester match, and our team had fun meeting LOFC's mascot, Theo the Wyvern! The LOFC solar PV looks great but, most importantly, provides renewable energy to the ground, helping the club save 40% on their energy bills. UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell addressed the official opening of #COP29 today, making an passionate plea: "We mustn’t let 1.5 slip out of reach." said Stiell. "Clean energy and infrastructure investment will reach two trillion dollars in 2024. Almost twice that of fossil fuels. The shift to clean-energy and climate-resilience will not be stopped. Our job is to accelerate this and make sure its huge benefits are shared by all countries and all people."
