About us
IMPOWER is not an off-the-shelf consulting company. Since 2000, we have worked exclusively within the public sector to solve complex social problems by changing behaviours. We recognise that re-designing public services requires deeper citizen insight, stronger relationships and better collaboration. Our in-depth knowledge of the public sector and our understanding of the complexities faced in delivering high quality services with shrinking budgets has enabled us to deliver real results for our clients. IMPOWER is now the country’s largest independent consultancy focusing on change and transformation across all local public services. Our success stems from our distinctive approach that combines a deep knowledge of the public sector with a genuine commitment to better outcomes for those accessing public services. Our Team IMPOWER is a growing team of innovators and change motivators, who use behavioural insight to transform public service delivery. We work with some of the largest and most innovative public services in the country, so this is an opportunity to create high impact, sustainable change. If you have a passion for improving public services alongside the energy and motivation to tackle some of our clients’ most difficult challenges, we’d like to hear from you.

Christmas is a time so many of us cherish, but it's also a time to give back. With that in mind our project team working with Croydon Council's Children's, Young People and Education Directorate have supported this year's efforts to ensure that every child and young person in temporary accommodation in Croydon has gifts this Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of IMPOWER Consulting staff, and the company, we were able to donate nearly a £1,000 of presents and myself and our Croydon team popped along last week to help with some wrapping. Supporting hard working public servants to provide support to vulnerable children is one of the times you really remember why you work in public services. IMPOWER Consulting sponsored the Stars in Surrey awards last night, which recognises some of the many amazing and talented individuals, teams, volunteers and residents in Surrey who regularly go above and beyond to deliver better outcomes and make a difference. This year, IMPOWER Consulting sponsored the Championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award, and I had the pleasure of co-presenting this award alongside Shella Smith, Director of People and Change. Congratulations to the winner Alice Spencer, and deserving finalists Barbara Anu and Laura White. It was fantastic to hear about some of the incredible work going on in communities in Surrey, catch up with some familiar Surrey County Council faces and attend this fantastic celebratory event with colleagues Ben Evans, James Edmondson and Bryony Langdon.
