The Origins team recently had the chance to make a real impact by partnering with NHS Million, a group of NHS workers using social media to spread positivity about the NHS. They were facing challenges with strategy and direction, so we helped them rethink their branding, messaging, and online presence. When we presented our recommendations, NHS Million was deeply moved by how our ideas could amplify their message on social media and beyond. They felt energized and excited, knowing our work will help them connect with more NHS workers and patients in 2025. This experience reminded us how powerful our skills are—not just in the workplace, but in transforming lives through platforms like social media. We don’t just talk about change—we create it. Always. https://lnkd.in/dujCub3 #NhsMillion

Q: In promotional or medical material sent by email to external healthcare professionals, is it possible to add links to bibliographic references so that the HCP can consult the original documents that support the material? For her thoughts on this question, CCC reached out to Liz Jennings, Associate Editorial Director at Lucid Group, based in the UK. Today marks International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD) as designated by the United Nations. At Lucid, our commitment to accessibility is reflected in the transformative work we do with clients to improve patients' lives; alongside the inclusive culture we foster within our workplace. Sally Cordon-Painter shares what this means to her: "International Day of Persons with Disabilities is an important moment for us all to reflect on how we are consciously inclusive of others. Supporting people to lean into their strengths and understanding how and where they thrive is a big part of my role, and being an inclusivity ally means recognizing the unique individuals around me and empowering them to grow and succeed. I am passionate about ensuring that we have a culture of accessibility for everybody at Lucid, and advocating for everyone to bring their whole selves to work every day." #accessibility #IDPWD

As part of Lucid Spirit, colleagues are able to volunteer for causes important to them. Priya Mistry shares what this means to her... Earlier this week, I went in to my old primary school to support my sister with running an art workshop for two Year 3 classes – that’s 60 kids! She’s a big advocate for how creativity can help us improve our mental wellbeing, which is becoming increasingly important for younger children. The kids had been learning all about volcanoes, so the only brief was for them to paint their own and to have fun. Judging by the number of messy hands and paint on jumpers (sorry parents and carers!), they fully embraced the task and, by the end, we had 60 very unique paintings. I loved being able to use my Lucid Spirit time to do something so rewarding and different to my day-to-day job. Spending time with these kids, encouraging them to lean into their own ideas and imagination served as a great reminder that not everything we do needs to have a purpose beyond doing it for our own happiness. At the end of the session, we also asked everyone to think about an affirmation and write it on their artwork – something the school does regularly to help build confidence and self-esteem. One of the affirmations that stuck in my mind the most was “I am perfect just the way I am” – a welcome reminder that we should be kinder to ourselves. So, I encourage you to do the same. What would yours be? #LucidSpirit

Through Lucid Spirit, we support philanthropic causes close to the hearts of our people with matched funding. Roisin Conneely shares what this means to her. "In October, I took part in Action Aid's 137 Challenge, completing 137 daily squats, sit ups or step ups, representing the 137 women who lose their lives each day to violence at the hands of a partner or family member worldwide. Action Aid are working with women across the world to help change the systems and beliefs that make violence acceptable. Thanks to generous donations from friends, family, and Lucid Spirit’s matched support, we’ve raised vital funds to support Action Aid’s mission to end violence against women worldwide. Thank you to everyone who donated and to Lucid for supporting this cause." #CompassionatelyHuman #LucidSpirit

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – a time to highlight the importance of early detection. In the UK, breast cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in women, accounting for 15% of all female cancer deaths. Lucy Wade shares what Breast Cancer Awareness Month means to her.... "I was one of the 1% of UK women diagnosed with HR+ HER2- breast cancer at just 31, with no gene mutations or family history. What made a significant difference to my outcome, was knowing my body well enough to advocate for it – practicing regular self-checks and catching an early-stage lump that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. I am now cancer-free and finding my new normal. Early detection is key, so make your health a priority and establish a self-check routine - make it part of conversation with friends or family to hold each other accountable." #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #AdvocateForYourHealth

As Oct 10 marks World Mental Health Day, Matthew Donadio shares his reflections on our culture of support at the Lucid Group: “You should never be afraid to talk about your mental health. In fact, talking about it and being open about it with your loved ones and colleagues is the first step in managing it. And when you decide that you need additional help, there are more options available than you think, so you can choose the right first step for yourself. I am proud to work for an organization that prioritizes creating a supportive and psychologically safe environment where we are empowered to bring our whole selves to work." #LucidLife #WorldMentalHealthDay #CompassionatelyHuman
