Working together to Stay Safer... We’ve had our creative hats on over the past week! It's brought our Founder & CEO Gary Hurst’s BTN Europe article https://lnkd.in/edwvY9Vc published in January to life, highlighting what is often an overlooked disparity between how the safety and wellbeing of airline passengers is approached compared to when travellers become guests in hotels and serviced apartments worldwide. Gary’s BTN Europe article sparked a wave of conversations with experts from across travel, risk and HR, leading to the formation of the Accommodation Conformity Focus Group. Its goal is to work collaboratively to define how best to formulate and assess a universal accommodation safety and security best practice. One which can be embedded within an accommodation RFP process to benefit both supplier and buyer, and ultimately deliver a consistent stay safer experience for guest employees, the world over. As an accommodation technology company, we have made it our priority to support the industry through the greater use of evidence-based data. mysa has already introduced a digital, environmentally friendly process to serve buyers when building a tailor-made serviced accommodation programme. We are delighted to be supporting the focus group in their work to introduce a more evidence-based process for all accommodation. Today, work and life are intertwined, so it’s not where people stay but how they stay that’s important. If you are a travel, HR or travel risk manager and you would like to know more about the focus group, please register your interest on our website homepage https://mysa.global/ #StaySafer #TravelSafely #businesstravel #corporatetravel #travelmanager #HR #travelriskmanagement #AccommodationConfirmityGroup #collaboration

This is a pivotal-moment-in-an-industry, one that you don’t want to miss. Like Mickey Mouse in Steamboat Willie… If you are a Travel, Risk or HR executive with the responsibility for safeguarding your organisation’s employees wherever they stay, then please join us for what promises to be a thought-provoking discussion. Join Leigh Cowlishaw (Percy), Managing Partner, Black Box Partnerships as she leads a ‘fireside’ chat with mysa Founder and CEO, Gary Hurst. Gary will be sharing his story of 15 years in the serviced accommodation sector and explain how the ‘why’ of mysa evolved. He will navigate through booking, management and due diligence challenges and ultimately why his experiences have driven him to create change…and why he is focused on introducing evidence-based safety and security data across all accommodation. Get an insight into how Gary’s experience influenced why mysa is empowering buyers to create tailor-made programmes with the safety and wellbeing of their travellers at its heart. It's nearly time for our 2nd #TOMS24 Webinar and the topic is Accommodation & Security When? Next Wednesday 12th June. It is a hotter topic than usual after some exciting announcements from another #trapartner mysa this week. Gary Hurst will be joining us on the 12th alongside Shaun Boulter and hosted by the TRA's own Sara McKenna to get deeper into this subject. Also joining the party is #TRA partner and all round super human Mac Segal, hear what he has to say to get us thinking in advance of next week; (remember like all Travel Risk Academy events, this session is as much about you as our speakers; you can submit your questions in advance to us via our website: https://lnkd.in/ei-XREyp or on our Linked in pages, in the comments below or to any one of us directly!) "There is most often a dissonance between #personal and #corporate #TRM. What makes sense for an individual when travelling may not be applicable for a corporation. How do we tell them apart and should they be separately addressed?" "There is right and then there is smart. Do not let your manners or sense of what is right #compromise your #safety – finding the balance between behaving politely, the way we were taught, and knowing when to stand your ground, refuse a drink, leave the room or, keep your opinions to yourself tell the taxi to stop and get out." "Duty of care starts with you. Your #employer most definitely has a duty to provide strategic TRM for you when on business trips and do everything to ensure you can travel without incident. However, TRM programs are often disjointed, poorly run and less than effective. You also need to take #responsibility for yourself. Educate yourself, take basic precautions and always have a plan." Don't miss out on what promises to be another honest, no holds barred conversation with some strategies that you can start using immediately. Register your place here: https://lnkd.in/egB5E7i4

The impossible has been made possible! Today sees the launch of build by mysa, an industry-first ‘build your own’ bespoke programme and management platform for corporate buyers, with evidence-based due diligence and a clear focus on traveller wellbeing. Gary Hurst, Founder and CEO of mysa said “our company was built on the belief that everyone deserves a safer stay. A tailor-made programme creates ownership and empowerment by being strategic, placing the value of the traveller front of mind and ensures absolute control for the employer” Gary added “It’s the opportunity for the industry to ‘rise up and build’ the missing piece of a modern travel programme through greater clarity and collaboration to ensure a safer stay for travellers.” If you’d like to find out more about how to build a customised serviced accommodation programme for your organisation, join Gary Hurst, CEO, mysa and Leigh Cowlishaw (Percy), Managing Partner, Black Box Partnerships for a ‘Rise up and Build’ webinar on 18 June at 14:00 BST. Earlier this year, Gary Hurst, CEO, mysa, as a BTN News columnist asked whether corporations leaving risk mitigation relating to accommodation to blind faith is essentially just leaving it to chance. Gary's call for a safety-first approach still needs to be answered and now more than ever it's time for the industry to collaborate and step up to this challenge. #ManageYourOwn #myo #AvoidSleeplessNights #SaferTravel #SafeStay #TravelSafely #TravelRisk #myo #businesstravel #corporatetravel
