This week, we have been delighted to host delegates from around the world at the annual ICOMAM Congress, co-hosted with our friends at Royal Armouries Museum. ICOMAM is an International Committee of ICOM UK which specialises in Museums and Collections of Arms and Military History. Its principal aim is to encourage scientific research about arms, armour and militaria in specialised military collections and in general museums. A series of fascinating talks and panel discussions were given over two days, including a dinner in the main atrium of the Museum under a Lynx helicopter. Speakers included the National Army Museum’s Joshua Seymour updating on research into historic military vehicle paint. Museum curators gave attendees an insight into our newly refreshed galleries, the final one Soldier opened to visitors last week in time for our annual Chelsea History Festival. Thank you so much to everyone for joining us. ICOMAM International Committee for Museums and Collections of Arms and Military History
