Winter Lights! Last week we had a switch on for all the gorgeous handmade decorations and lights made by local people that we put up all along the street. Many were themed for the business from the laundrette, tattoo shop and Cabinet Supplies. With 30 businesses joining in and more to come - we think this is the start of something! This is a partnership with the Stonehouse Community Builders Isatta Kallon Helen Moore Four Greens Community Trust supported by sponsorship from Millfields Trust & Millfields Inspired Cafe Momus, Joedy Lawrence and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund Plymouth City Council. This Thursday businesses along Union Street will be turning lights on along the street to brighten up the winter months. It is the first time we've tried something like this - we're using what we can borrow, reuse and make. This is in response to people wanting more of the street party vibe through the winter, saying they don't feel safe at night and local businesses asking for more support through tough times so we joined forces with Four Greens Community Trust Community Builders to it happen. Join us to walk along the street and check out the difference a community can make. Hope to see you there! We'll start at Union Corner, walk up to Millfields Trust and the Scrapstore and then all the way along the street down to The Depo and back to Union Corner for warm drinks and music. You won't miss us - we'll be lit up!!
