About us

Women in Mining Africa (WIM-Africa) is a Pan-African organization committed to enhancing the arduous working conditions experienced by women artisanal miners in rural African communities. Through our advocacy programs and projects, we aim to champion gender equity and social justice within the mining sector. Our mission is to empower African women by facilitating and advocating for their involvement in the solid minerals industry across the continent, while also prioritizing the safeguarding of children. By doing so, we seek to drive sustainable economic growth and foster community development. "Empowering Women, Safeguarding Children, Transforming Mining, Shaping the Future."
