Welcome Antonia Nebo (PhD) as Assistant Director, Administrative Services – Women in Mining Africa (WiM-Africa) Secretariat Antonia brings over a decade of experience in public health, environmental management, and strategic administrative #leadership to her role as Assistant Director, Administrative Services at the WiM-Africa #Secretariat. Having served as a dedicated volunteer with WiM-Africa for over a year, Antonia has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing the organization’s mission of empowering #women in mining, fostering gender inclusivity, and promoting #sustainable mining practices across Africa. She currently works on African Development Bank Group (AfDB), IFC - International Finance Corporation (IFC), and other development bank projects across #Africa, ensuring #compliance with Environmental and Social #Safeguards (ESS) standards for #investment projects in the mining sector. Her expertise in program management, policy #implementation, and cross-sectoral #collaboration positions her as a key contributor to WiM-Africa’s administrative and operational #excellence. With a background spanning academia, research, and project execution, Antonia excels in data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and stakeholder #engagement. She has been instrumental in driving impactful #initiatives, managing multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing complex projects. Her passion for fostering women’s #leadership aligns seamlessly with WiM-Africa’s vision to create a transformative environment for women in the #mining sector, empowering them to thrive professionally and contribute meaningfully to their communities. In her role, Antonia will lead administrative services with a focus on optimizing organizational processes, ensuring efficient resource #management, and strengthening partnerships to support WiM-Africa’s ongoing programs.
