  • 📢 LATEST NEWS: Cross-skill pilot exemplifies just-transition in action! Earlier this week, the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) launched a new cross-skilling programme to support worker transferability between oil & gas and wind operations and maintenance (O&M)! 👷♀️ The Offshore Wind Industry Council forecasts a shortfall of over 4,500 skilled O&M roles on what's needed to double current UK-installed wind capacity and deliver the UK Government's 2030 targets. We're excited to be working in partnership with ECITB and Global Wind Organisation to deliver this programme, which aims to help solve this issue. Tony Quinn, our Director of Technology Development, said this: “𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺 𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘪𝘭 & 𝘨𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘫𝘪𝘨𝘴𝘢𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘕𝘦𝘵 𝘡𝘦𝘳𝘰. “𝘉𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘶𝘳𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴-𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳 𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦, 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯." 👉Read the full announcement here: https://hubs.la/Q036mYVN0 #skills | #justtransition | #offshorewind | #engineering | #offshorerenewables
