As the temperatures are set to drop, we're starting the week with a throw back to warmer times and our 2024 summer party. With three dedicated company-wide events each year, we always look forward to coming together to celebrate our successes and have some well-deserved fun with our colleagues. This year's party was held in Bristol to further celebrate the expansion of our Bristol team, where we were joined by clients and peers from across the industry for the evening celebrations. Thank you to all who attended; until next time...! #bestplacetowork

Thrilled to share a snapshot from todays module session where one of last year's Graduate Scheme cohort, Ted Pitman, together with Paul Coote, delivered an insightful introduction to Graphic Design for Transport Planning for the 2024/2025 Graduate Transport Planning cohort; Becca Inglis-Taylor, Leah Anesi and Mabel Still. It's fantastic to witness Rappor's Transport Planning team collaborate across all our offices and deliver our bespoke Graduate Scheme, bridging theory and practice, and inspiring the next wave of talent in the field. Thank you for sharing your expertise and passion! #TransportPlanning #Education #GraphicDesign #Inspiration

Oh, what a night! We are over the moon to share that at last night's SoGlos - Gloucestershire's leading media brand Business Awards, we won our category, crowning Rappor as the 'Best Place to Work' 2024! There were some fantastic businesses recognised in this category, which highlights how important the wellbeing and development of employees continues to be for businesses today. We are so proud of everyone at Rappor and the contributions they have made, and continue to make, to always make Rappor a place where people and partnerships are our priority. Congratulations to the other 'Best Place to Work' category finalists - Ontic, Pro Global, The Crowd Agency, WSP Solicitors. And to the Highly Commended winner, Lanes Health. Thank you to our category sponsor The Growth Hub Gloucestershire, and congratulations to all the finalists and winners of all categories who were recognised last night. #bestplacetowork #sggba

October 10th marks World Mental Health Day and this year the World Federation of Mental Health has set the theme as workplace mental health. The World Health Organisation advises that “action to address mental health at work should be done with the meaningful involvement of workers and their representatives, and persons with lived experience of mental health conditions.” At Rappor, we have a Wellbeing Committee made up of employees from a range of backgrounds, ages, departments and levels of seniority. Our Wellbeing agenda is directly set by our employees whose feedback creates the company's initiatives to support our people to live their best lives. And in the background, we all work together to create a culture that supports open conversations about mental health. Talking is good for mental health. And talking *about* mental health is important. But starting a conversation isn’t always easy. For tips on how to talk to someone about how you’re feeling, or on how to check-in with someone you care about, the Mental Health Foundation website has lots of tips to help: https://lnkd.in/gq7NeA8

First Look: The Odeon Arcade Redevelopment in Leicester We are excited to reveal our redevelopment proposals for the Odeon Arcade in Leicester. In collaboration with our design partners we have created a new mixed use scheme that seeks to preserve and enhance the local conservation area and bring this site in a medieval part of the city back to life. Located adjacent to the 700 year old market, which is currently undergoing a significant refurbishment itself (see blue hoarding in the images), the scheme will deliver new homes for up to 105 people that meet contemporary design standards and that are arranged around a new central landscaped courtyard that provides new amenity space whilst also integrating harmoniously with its surrounding neighbours. At ground level, a new high-quality shopping arcade will be formed that provides 13 retail units with improved active frontage and street level inter-connections between the historic market place and Cank Street beyond while creating an enhanced vibrant and dynamic public / retail space. These initial images focus on the Market Place elevation where the historic Art Deco façade will be retained and refurbished with the reintroduction of iconic "Odeon" signage that was lost from the building previously and that now double as bay windows to the residential units behind, as well as new carefully designed top floor extensions with reinstated slated mansard roofs. Cank Street Imaginary coming soon! Welcome Seren Redmond to Rappor's Water Environment team! Seren is the final person to join this year's intake of graduates having completed her studies at Durham University and then competed in the Mirxes Nations Cup 2024 for Netball Ireland over the summer. We're looking forward to seeing Seren develop as a consultant as she gets to grips with flood risk assessments and other work for our clients. But not so excited to go up against her during the next intra-company netball tournament! #WaterEnvironment #FloodRisk #Graduates #EarlyCareers

A brilliant night in Bristol for the whole Rappor team. The positivity in the room (well, roof top bar) was amazing and we’ve had so much great feedback. The sunshine and themed cocktails may have helped…. Thankyou to everyone who came to celebrate with us.
