🎉 Project Handover - New Woodburn Primary extension officially opens! Congratulations to Kier Construction on delivering this project 6 weeks ahead of schedule! This £11.4M project enhances the school's capacity with a new two-storey extension featuring nine classrooms, a gym, and expanded dining facilities. Outdoor improvements include play areas and a sensory garden crafted from locally sourced materials, saving 10 tonnes of wood for reuse. The project will transform the local area, creating an inspiring, inclusive environment for learning, play, and community engagement. The new hub will feature: ⭕State-of-the-art classrooms for up to 242 pupils, fostering a spacious and welcoming atmosphere ⭕Outdoor learning spaces including a dedicated forest school area, bringing nature into the heart of education. ⭕Flexible sports and recreation areas with a gym hall and multi-use games facilities to encourage an active lifestyle. This milestone is just the beginning of a journey to create a multi-functional space that meets the needs of the community.
