Congratulations to the brave ladies taking part in this challenge. I often see them when walking to work in the morning, but at this time of year it’s even more impressive. Great effort for a good cause. Well done to all invovled.
About us
Scrabster Harbour Trust operates a multi-purpose port on the north coast of Scotland. The strategic location of the harbour places Scrabster as the closest port for the West of Shetland oilfields. Scrabster Harbour is a key hub of economic activity in the region, catering for a wide variety of sectors such as oil and gas, renewables, fishing and cruise ships. The harbour offers extensive facilities, with 24/7 access, 365 days a year to the port. Scrabster Harbour possesses a strong local supply chain and is one of the UK’s top whitefish and shellfish landing ports. The harbour is overseen by Scrabster Harbour Trust, established in 1841 and governed by its own legislation. The trust seeks to serve the local community and all surpluses created are reinvested into the port.

Some great pictures showing the challenges of moving the components from the port to their final location. Collet’s have done a fantastic job and have been a pleasure to work with.
Collett have successfully completed all deliveries to Limekiln wind farm! Over the course of the project, our team transported 216 components to site. Once fully constructed, the wind farm will feature twenty four V136 Vestas wind turbines. 🌍⚡ The project commenced with components arriving at Scrabster Harbour in the Scottish Highlands. Over the period of five months, our team strategically transported them using our specialised Collett fleet and equipment. Key components included 67 metre long vestas blades, transported on Nooteboom Super Wing Carrier trailers and 74 Tonne base tower sections, transported utilising our new Nooteboom clamp trailer. A notable road modification included widening a sharp bend near the port ensuring safe passage of the oversized components. 🚛 Our Consulting Team carried out thorough swept path analysis, route assessments and test runs, while our skilled drivers and escorts ensured a precise and efficient delivery. 🗺️🚦 A huge thanks to our entire team in making this project a success! 👏💪 #ExpertsInMotion #RenewableEnergy #TransportSolutions #HeavyHaulage #WindTurbines #BladeTransport #SpecialistTransport

Scrabster Harbour Trust is proud to have supported the Summit to Success programme, delivered by DYW North Highland, which saw 12 young people from Caithness and Sutherland take part in a confidence-building weekend in the Cairngorms! The participants took on challenges ranging from high ropes to canoeing and even a bungee jump, all while developing key skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Their remarkable performance and determination were truly inspiring. We are delighted to have contributed to such a meaningful initiative that empowers our youth and prepares them for bright futures ahead. #SummitToSuccess #ScrabsterHarbour #CommunitySupport #YouthDevelopment #NorthHighland #FutureLeaders #DYWNorthHighland #Caithness #Thurso https://lnkd.in/eQV7y5UC
