The finalists for Digital Health Rewired's #Pitchfest 2025 startup competition have been revealed! 🌟 This annual event gives innovative #digitalhealth companies a chance to pitch their ideas live to NHS leaders, investors and industry peers and we're delighted to be sponsors of Pitchfest. It's a hugely important event which one our clients CardMedic won a couple of years ago. A total of 18 finalists have been selected across two categories - pre-revenue and revenue generating startups. The winners will receive expert advice from CW+ charity and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust's innovation team, plus the potential to run a pilot project at the trust. Here's just a few of the exciting finalists: 🔹AirEmail - Reducing email overload and digital stress for healthcare staff 🔹 Kanjo Health - Early detection tool for ADHD, autism and more 🔹 Upskill.Health - On-the-job training for maternity workforce via mobile/VR 🔹 ExR - VR Education Platform - A virtual reality education platform for the NHS Stephen Bryant, Cofounder and Director of Silver Buck said: "Sponsoring PitchFest and getting to see those who are showcasing and pioneering ventures within the digital health sector is one of the biggest highlights in our calendar. The competition creates genuine impact in the industry providing a platform for companies to showcase their potential, gain powerful media exposure and ultimately get the opportunity to pilot in an NHS site – something innovators find increasingly challenging. After witnessing the exceptional talent last year, we are eagerly looking forward to seeing who wins. Good luck to everyone!" Don't miss the live pitches at #Rewired25 on 18-19 March at the NEC in Birmingham! The event is free for NHS/public sector. Register now at digitalhealthrewired.com

We need more open innovation to solve some of the fundamental challenges healthcare teams and patients face. Yesterday, was a wonderful example of what can be achieved in a short space of time if you bring some of the brightest minds and innovative companies together around a common problem, such as digital consent and reducing health inequity. What CardMedic, Concentric Health, VirtTuri, Remcare and Eviden produced in few short weeks, and demonstrated to stakeholders from across University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust, Warwick Innovation District and University of Warwick was fantastic - congratulations to all involved for demonstrating what can be achieved in a short space of time with a collaborative approach 👏 👏 Dr Julia Dawson, Howard Tinker, Dr Penny Kechagioglou, Joe Kallarackal, Rachael Grimaldi, Tim Grimaldi, Dafydd Loughran, Matt McGinty, Stuart Beech, Gary Hampshire, Simon Eccles, Sandeep Konduru, Hayden Allen-Vercoe

The government has revealed the 17 experts advising on #digitaltransformation as part of its major 10-year plan for the NHS. The digital, data and technology working group includes: 6 local NHS leaders like Amy Freeman from University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust and Prof David Walliker from Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Patient/public voice representatives like Laura Bunt of YoungMinds and Nicola Hamilton from Understanding Patient Data. Outside experts like former Amazon exec Doug Gurr and tech ethicist Henry de Zoete. Only one current healthtech industry figure is included - Shane Tickell, CEO of Temple Black and chair of techUK's health council. Key priorities already identified include developing a single digital patient record, new data sharing legislation, interoperability standards and better use of data to drive productivity. The group will advise on how tech can improve patient access/engagement, release clinical time through productivity and ensure successful adoption of innovations over the next decade. What do you think about this line-up of advisors and their initial focus areas? Let us know your views in the comments 👇
