Heads-up…Free training for those working with women veterans. If you want to know more about how to support female veterans OR you primarily support male veterans, why not sign up. It may result in you identifying female veterans, developing your service and better helping your community. Provided by Enhance+ (Combat Stress), funded by the Office of Veteran Affairs, they are currently offering 2 courses: 1 - Introduction to women veterans’ experiences and needs. 2 - Advanced understanding of women veterans: how services can best meet their needs. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

EMPLOYMENT SHOUT OUT POUR MOI! Im currently in an inconsistent and unpredictable employment phase which is not sustainable for me for much longer (3 x zero hour jobs), so something needs to change and rapido too, so here goes: I am looking for a stable and secure employment for myself even if it’s temporary. I am restricted to the hours I can do as it must work around my No.1 priority my little family, 2 yr old twins and an almost 7 year old with SEN needs. I’ve had ALOT of job recommendations sent to me and there are some great jobs out there that I’d usually jump at, but at the moment I can only do either nights finishing at 5am or 3 full days in the week. I have quite a few strings to my bow, check out my profile and do get in touch if you know of any genuine opportunities. Available from Mar 25, sooner if I can 🤞 #MovingForward #NewOpportunitiesIn2025 #MakingYourOwnLuck

💡 How fascinating is this… the #SAS - the British Army’s most iconic, heroic group of soldiers - was Made By Dyslexia Watch this clip from the BBC series of SAS: Rogue Heroes and hear how the SAS’s founder David Sterling used his #DyslexicThinking skills of extraordinary problem-solving, visualising, and people-leadership skills to create and drive the most elite band of soldiers who undoubtedly changed the course of World War II and beyond. From spies GCHQ to real life superheroes in the SAS, it never ceases to amaze me what Dyslexic Thinking creates. 📺 The brilliant 2nd series of SAS Rogue Heroes is showing on BBC1 now!

What a way to kick start 2025! Such a lovely article, but I will contest I am not the face of this, the ABN came out and a group of us saw an opportunity to do something good- there are lots of these events taking place around the country spearheaded by many amazing men and women. I’m really proud to be part of an organisation that takes women’s health seriously, and that is open to making positive changes to benefit its people. https://lnkd.in/etGYPrnz

We can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve! Our household is VERY excited! However, we also know that as much as we love the festive season, it can often be stressful and difficult for many. Whether it’s the hustle and bustle, heightened emotions, feelings of loneliness, or anything else, it’s important to take care of yourself. That’s why, as our final gift to you before the big man arrives tonight, we’re sharing a couple of simple stress-less tactics to help you find calm amidst the chaos: Tree Breathing 🎄Breathe in for 3 seconds 🎄Hold for 3 seconds 🎄Breathe out for 3 seconds Using your finger, trace along the sides of a Christmas tree (real or imagined!) as you breathe. Follow the shape and focus on the rhythm of your breath. Repeat as many times as needed to ground yourself. Stop, Drop & Roll 🎁 STOP what you’re doing. Pause. Say “Stop” internally or out loud to break through the overwhelm and anchor yourself to the present. 🎁 DROP the negativity. Ask yourself: Is this stress rational? Can I release some of this tension? Take a deep breath and let it go. 🎁ROLL with it. Lift your head, straighten your shoulders, and keep moving forward. You’ve got this! Take a moment for yourself today—you deserve it! From all of us at Inclusive Minds UK, Merry Christmas! #StressLess #Christmas2024 #Mindfulness #selfcare #Neuroinclusion Useful UK Support Lines: Samaritans: Call 116 123 or visit www.samaritans.org Mind: Call 0300 123 3393 or visit www.mind.org.uk CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably): Call 0800 58 58 58 or visit www.thecalmzone.net Alt Text for Images: 1️⃣ The cover image shows the words “Stress Less! This Christmas”. A Santa figure is stood in a yoga pose, radiating calm and relaxation! 2️⃣ The second image depicts a Christmas tree with a star on top and arrows guiding you to trace its shape while practicing “Tree Breathing.” Instructions for breathing in, holding, and breathing out are clearly presented alongside the tree illustration. (Details in main text). 3️⃣ The third image explains the “Stop, Drop & Roll” technique with bold, step-by-step instructions encouraging mindfulness, letting go of negativity, and moving forward calmly. (Details in main text). 4️⃣ The final page features Santa again in a sitting yoga pose, surrounded by the IMUK brain Logo, with a warm message of “Merry Christmas with love from IMUK!”.

  • Image taken from the RAF Association campaign to combat loneliness. One of my all-time favourite phrases is: “Sharing your story could be someone else’s lifeline.” But let’s be real—not everyone has someone to listen, and that’s exactly why The V Word was started nearly four years ago. We wanted to create a space where you feel heard and supported. If you’re ever feeling lonely, Christmas or not, please don’t suffer in silence—reach out. We’re always here to remind you that you’re never on your own. 💛 #YouAreNotAlone #ShareYourStory #TheVWordCommunity #LetsTalk
