  • It was such a pleasure to train this wonderful group of professional staff from Charis Services for Children during our two-day course. Their strong values and genuine commitment to reducing behaviours of distress/concern and creating positive outcomes for young people were both evident and truly inspiring.

  • Protect your colleagues, and children and young people with our behaviour management training as we work with your staff to develop their skills and confidence, enabling them to identify potential risks and respond effectively to resolve conflict scenarios safely, whilst maintaining the respect and dignity of the individuals in which your organisation cares for. Upon completion of your training programme, which is tailored to your organisational needs, you will have the confidence and skills to manage even the most challenging behaviour situations with ease. Investing in your team's behaviour and conflict management skills is an investment in your organisation's success. Don't wait any longer to provide your team with the training they need to excel in their roles. • We know that active listening is the cornerstone of strong communication. It fosters deeper relationships, builds trust, and ensures a clear understanding of information. But how well do we really listen? Here are 9 powerful tips to transform you into an active listening pro: 1. Be Present: Give the speaker your undivided attention. Silence your phone, minimise distractions, and focus solely on their message. 2. Check Your Judgment: Resist forming opinions or interrupting with solutions. Listen openly and receptively. 3. Use non-verbal cues: Make eye contact, nod occasionally, and use positive facial expressions to show engagement. 4. Let Them Flow: Avoid interrupting. Give the speaker the space to fully express their thoughts and feelings. 5. Ask Open-Ended Questions: Go beyond "yes" or "no" questions. Encourage elaboration with prompts like "Can you tell me more about that?" or "How did that make you feel?" 6. Be Patient: Don't rush the conversation. Allow the speaker sufficient time to express themselves freely. 7. Walk a Mile in Their Shoes: Empathise. Put yourself in the speaker's perspective. Try to understand their emotions and viewpoints. 8. Acknowledge Emotions: Reflect the speaker's feelings with phrases like "That sounds frustrating" or "It seems like you're excited about this." 9. Paraphrase & Summarise: Briefly rephrase key points to confirm understanding and demonstrate active listening. By incorporating these tips, you'll become a more engaged listener, fostering stronger connections and communication in all aspects of your life. By incorporating these tips, you'll become a more engaged listener, fostering stronger connections and communication in all aspects of your professional life. #TrainingwithPride #inspiringacultureofcare #ActiveListening #CommunicationSkills #RelationshipBuilding

  • At TWP we don't just pride ourselves on the excellent training we deliver directly, but also on the support we are keen to give to our Approved Trainers to aid them to effectively inspire a culture of care in their organisations too. Here's what our associate trainers are saying: Consistent Approach to Managing Distress/concern: Our program has fostered a uniform strategy across the board, allowing our team to address distress with empathy and consistency. Empowerment and Confidence Boost: Staff members report a significant increase in confidence. They're empowered to intervene early with preventive measures, which has been instrumental in shaping a proactive environment. Building Therapeutic Relationships: The course’s values and emphasise fostering strong, therapeutic relationships, that listen to understand the needs and wishes of those we support, leading to greater understanding and connection between staff and those we interact with. Reflective and Open Culture: We're nurturing an environment where reflective practices are the norm. This openness is driving continuous improvement and accountability among our team. Reduction in Physical Interventions: Thanks to early interventions and preventive approaches, we've seen a notable decrease in the need for physical interventions. This marks a huge step forward in our commitment to creating a safe and supportive workplace. Positive Feedback on Training: The feedback from our staff has been overwhelmingly positive. They're finding the training sessions both engaging and enlightening, contributing to their professional growth and our collective ethos. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this program a success. It’s your dedication and hard work that helps us create meaningful change! #TrainingwithPride #Inspiringacultureofcare #Leadership #Empowerment #Training #ProfessionalGrowth #PositiveChange #ReflectivePractice #TeamSuccess www.trainingwithpride.com Get in touch with us at info@trainingwithpride.com or 0330 0539 140 to find out more!
