Thank you Dezeen for naming #MurrayGrove the most significant building of 2009! We're so proud that Murray Grove is featured alongside such beautiful and important examples of architecture, it was our first large scale CLT building, and the first tall timber one in the world. It happened because of the close collaboration and support of the engineers, manufacturer, client, and contractor. In the 16 years since MG we have continued developing our knowledge and passion for low carbon buildings, and work hard to advance the use of engineered timber. This project is all about balance, preserving the building’s historic character while adding two new floors of sustainable, mass-timber construction. It’s a bold approach that raises the bar for how we build in London, blending heritage with innovation. We’re incredibly proud of how quickly this vision has come to life.
