🚀 Wave Photonics launches fabrication-aware scattering parameters (S-parameters) which facilitate users to assess the suitability and performance of Wave Photonics’ components for different #integrated #photonics applications. 💡 Users will benefit from S-parameters by incorporating into their circuits our components and testing them by using circuit simulation software. ➕ S-parameters tools offered by Wave Photonics are now available for CORNERSTONE silicon-on-insulator (SOI) and Silicon Nitride (SiN) PDKs. They will also be generated for all new PDKs added to Wave Photonics’ platform. ➡️ Access fabrication-aware S-parameters through our PDK website: https://lnkd.in/dcy7_tkD 📃 For more information check out the full press release here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/dJXNFFBU #sparameters #PICs #PDK

Wave Photonics now provides easy-to-use photonic chip packaging templates for the PHIX Characterization Package solution. These templates are available for the CORNERSTONE SOI 220 nm passive and active fabrication processes. Wave Photonics’ packaging templates for the PHIX Characterization Package solution have been designed using Wave Photonics' PDK – these templates use Wave Photonics' components optimised for the PHIX fibre arrays, which can improve coupling performance and reduce coupling loss. There are templates with either regular or wideband grating couplers available. The wideband grating couplers maintain good coupling over a range of 100 nm, either in the C-band (1500 – 1600 nm) or O-band (1260 - 1360 nm) in TE mode - this makes it useful for telecommunications and data communications applications using wavelength-division multiplexing. Wave Photonics also offers free-to-use packaging templates for the open-source, license-free PDKs provided by CORNERSTONE. To access Wave Photonics' packaging templates for PHIX’s Characterization Package solution, visit our PDK access point here: https://lnkd.in/gbefiiUH For more information about the PHIX Characterization Package, please see the PHIX website: https://lnkd.in/e6Yi3RmA Read the press release here: https://lnkd.in/gaPAx8Wa PHIX Photonics Assembly, CORNERSTONE

Collaboration between the UK and APAC in quantum technology is heating up... 🔥 👀 As part of the recent UK National Quantum Technology Showcase, we organised business matching for eleven of the UK’s leading quantum tech innovators with technology giants and venture capitalists from the Asia Pacific region. 🇬🇧🇯🇵🇰🇷🇹🇼 APAC corporates in attendance included Fujitsu and Qunasys from Japan, Qunova Computing and Quantum Intelligence from South Korea and Taiwania Capital and Mediatek from Taiwan. The UK quantum innovators companies that took part were Element Six, Quantum Software Lab, Wave Photonics and Phasecraft. You can catch a full recap of the event below 👇 Interested in attending future business matching sessions? James Lee, CEO and co-founder of Wave Photonics, talks to us about how they are enabling rapid photonic integrated circuit development for any wavelength or platform. James explains how the design for integrated photonics uses the same scalable process used to make semiconductor electronics chips to make circuits for light. And he talks about the market opportunity for both tackling energy and bandwidth, and longer term with sensing and quantum. We gain great insights about: • Quitting a job may be too early to start a business • You don’t have to be impossibly smart and motivated to be an entrepreneur • Building technology from scratch • Experiencing different universities and accelerator programmes (both sides of the pond) • Recruiting the right people • Experiencing Silicon Valley next-level optimism and vision • Targeting clients at such an early stage of a company Watch this space as Wave develops their products and builds their go-to-market outreach. We exhibited at the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase, one of the biggest UK Quantum events of the year! It was a great opportunity to speak to participants about our capabilities and hear from other organisations in the space! At Wave Photonics, we can enable new photonics fabrication processes to be rapidly brought online, especially those using novel materials or wavelengths, which can be especially useful for quantum technologies. To find out more about what we do, visit our website or contact us via email info@wavephotonics.com #QuantumShowcase24, Innovate UK
