Here's some great footage put together by Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK) / Scottish Branch: Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK Scotland) from a visit we made to one of their Ignite days at some local schools in Scotland. Always fun to share a room with a group of students, and it's always impressive to see how sharp and engaged they are. The aim of these days is to show them what motorsport engineering is about and the world of opportunity open to them in STEM careers. Mission accomplished!

At the Automotive Testing Technology Expo a couple of months ago, the BeamNG GmbH had a huge presence, We met Thomas Fischer the co founder and CEO there to have a chat with him about the software and it’s ambitions in the automotive space. Known for its super realistic physics, BeamNG is a powerful development tool, where it offers a realistic environment to carry out digital development from ADAS to vehicle dynamics, crashes and all 😉. #beinspired

Join us for some exciting slow-motion footage as we unpack the key differences in suspension response and setup between prototype (LMDh) and GT3 cars. What are the differences, and why do they exist? We explore three main aspects: 1. Ride 2. Chassis mode response 3. Contact patch force/pressure variation Fundamentally, high-aero LMDh cars require a stable aerodynamic platform to maximise performance, while GT3 cars, with less aerodynamic focus, achieve performance through optimal management of conditions at the contact patch. June in Stuttgart. A couple of weeks ago, at the Automotive Testing Technology International expo, our company was honoured to participate, with Jahee invited to judge their awards and deliver a talk on the use of AI in simulations and testing. It was a productive few days in Germany, a country we always enjoy visiting, providing valuable opportunities to connect with other professionals in the field. Cheers to that! The future of testing is most certainly digital!

We’ve just concluded a research project we had running with Imperial College over the last year. 🎉 Loïc a Masters Mechanical Engineering student has been doing some great research on a really interesting composites application we’re exploring. Earlier this week we went to see him present the project to his classmates and the faculty.. Nice work Loic..! The research has highlighted many avenues to pursue going forward, so the next steps of this project are going to be very interesting! Stay tuned..! #beinspired

A bright future for the sport is just ahead, we're making sure it's an inclusive one. --- Driven by Us is an organisation working to inspire and provide representation for young, underrepresented people into STEM careers through the platform of Motorsport.

Controls is the branch of engineering which bridges a gap between hardware and software. With all the advanced mechatronic systems onboard cars in the LMH and LMDh class, the algorithms required for precise control of the hybrid powertrain and chassis control systems are very complex. It’s also one of the few areas of performance development which is not limited by regulations, so there’s lots of development potential. We spoke with Ferrari and Bosch Motorsport to learn how they're gaining an advantage. Here are some poignant excerpts from these conversations for an article we wrote for Racecar Engineering Magazine's May Issue.
