Rounding off 2025 with the W&P Christmas Meal yesterday. Huge thanks to Côté Brasserie for hosting us yesterday in Canterbury, the food was fantastic. What a year it’s been, with plenty of projects, clients old and new, our first project on the continent, growth within the team with additions of Andrew, Connor, Dave and Hannah boosting the team with their knowledge and enthusiasm, some amazing students working with us this year including Joanna and Daisy. We look forward to welcoming more people to the W&P team in the new year. We wish to thank all of our clients and sub-consultants for your support and belief in us in 2024 and we look forward to a positive 2025 and contiuing relationships and friendships and some incredible new projects in the pipeline. Thankyou all from David, Mark, Luke and the team! We will be available until lunchtime on the 24th and will be closed for the period. We will re-open on 2nd January at 9am and we look forward to the year ahead.

Some action from last night’s charity 5 a side tournament, featuring a few of our boys dusting off their boots
As proud sponsors of Ramsgate Football Club, we were very pleased to host construction friends and colleagues at the WW Martin Community Stadium yesterday for the return of the highly anticipated WW Martin Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament. The evening was packed with action and fierce albeit friendly competition, as teams battled it out for a shot at the title. The semi-finals saw matches between WW Martin ‘Whites’ and WW Martin ‘Blues,’ and B&M and OSG Architecture. In the end, B&M clinched victory in a nail-biting final, narrowly defeating WW Martin ‘Whites’ to lift the coveted trophy, 5-4 on penalties after the final ended 2-2 in normal time. A huge thank you to everyone who played, donated, and cheered the teams on. Every contribution made a difference, with all funds raised going to support our charity of the year, East Kent Hospitals Charity. Special thanks to our partners Ramsgate Football Club, for hosting and helping us bring this event to life, and the four junior referees for their excellent management of the matches. Great evening at WW Martin Ltd Charity 5 a side football tournament at Ramsgate FC. The Wilson’s team was in short supply, playing the whole tournament with just the 5 players. 3 losses and 1 draw but lots of laughs had. Thanks to our friends at Corstorphine & Wright, b&m | Certified B Corp, Clague Architects, East Kent Brickwork Ltd and WW Martin for the games! Congrats to B&M on their victory. See you next year!

What a month! Wilson & Partners attended the Kent Construction EXPO in force, making some fantastic connections and catching up with our esteemed colleagues throughout the industry. We have some exciting new projects on the horizon, working with some fantastic clients in London and the South East, looking forward to sharing some of these with you soon. Also, the Wilson & Partners team has grown! We have a new Senior Electrical Engineer boosting the design team, and also a new Revit Technician to support the project delivery. Watch this space!

Some exciting times at Wilson & Partners. Potential projects at a number of iconic buildings in London, followed up by enquiries in Paris to push forward with. All this to balance with a number of projects achieving key milestones in the last few weeks means the W&P are busy and buzzing away. We are pleased to say that Joanna Saldonido has headed back north of the border to begin her final year of her Architecture degree, following a hugely successful summer with the Team (and also winning an award in Scotland for her work!) In Summer 2019, Wilson & Partners welcomed Joanna Saldonido from Sir Roger Manwood School in Sandwich for her Year 11 work experience placement. In her week with us, Joanna really conveyed a passion for Architecture and the built environment. We taught her the basics of using Revit, and in turn, she designed the below! Now in 2024, following a recent visit to Sir Roger Manwood for their 2024 career fair, Joanna emailed us to request a summer placement. She is 3 years into her undergrad at Edinburgh University studying Architecture and preparing for her final year. So, Welcoming Joanna Saldonido to the Wilson & Partners team as a Design Assistant, supporting the design team with drawing work and lending her designer's eye to some of our current projects. So if any of our Architectural colleagues are interested next year, we can point you in the direction of an incredibly talented young designer.

Some great connections made at Le Mans last weekend with a number of construction professionals. A highlight being learning about advances in hydrogen fuel cell technology which will no doubt play a part in the future of engineering. Some new commissions this month include new Costa Coffee units, high end residential schemes in London and some exciting new education projects from both long term clients and new.
