Almost one million children aged 11-16 have been scammed online in the last 12 months. The average financial loss per scam is £103 but the often hidden emotional cost is far greater.    Our latest research, unveiled today on #SaferInternetDay, shows the emotional toll of online scams on young people, as 8 in 10 parents report long-lasting impacts like anxiety, depression and mood swings after being scammed online.    And with 60% of young victims unsure of where to turn to for help, Vodafone and NSPCC are joining forces to open a pop-up ‘Phish ’N’ Tips’ shop in Central London on Thursday, 20 February to offer families free, expert advice to help spot online scams and deal with them.    While talking about online scams can be tough, the Phish ’N’ Tips shop offers parents and young people a relaxed space to drop in and get free expert advice, with a side of fish and chips.     Find out more here:  https://lnkd.in/dZfYFXim #TheNationsNetwork #OnlineSafety #DigitalParenting #SID2025
