SkillsUSA National Officers met with 3M's advocacy representatives at their Washington, D.C., office. As part of Advocacy Day, their discussions focused on amplifying Career and Technical Education (CTE) through storytelling and collaborating to advocate for closing the skills gap through workforce development.

Direct Relief is providing critical, highly requested aid as Southern California grapples with one of the most devastating wildfire events in Los Angeles County’s history. Through local community health clinics including Venice Family Clinic, and local evacuation shelters, Direct Relief has distributed thousands of 3M N95 respirators to those impacted by wildfire smoke, and has provided medications, basic hygiene products from Unilever, and more to those displaced by the fires. Direct Relief also continues to provide requested aid to first responders including emergency medical backpacks, PPE, and re-hydration supplements.
This disaster will reshape Los Angeles for years to come, and Direct relief will continue to support those impacted.

Organized by 3M as part of the French Industry Week, this event addressed the major challenges of our time:
🌱 How can innovation accelerate the fight against climate change?
🎓 What skills are needed to transform industry?
The morning was indeed marked by highlights, in the presence of committed and inspiring personalities:
• An inspiring opening by Alain SIMONNET
• A first round table on innovation to face climate change, with the interventions of: Maxime Bureau , Elsie Nakhle (Zenon), @Michael haddad (Alstom) , Julien LE GUENNEC (OLENERGIES).
• A second round table focused on skills to reinvent Industry, with: Véronique Delpla-Dabon, Hervé Jouanneau, Nader Imani, Ph.D. (Festo)
• The morning was rounded off with three special interventions: a powerful keynote by François Gemenne (IPPC member), followed by Ulrike Steinhorst intervention, and a final word from Jean-Michel Blanquer, former French Ministry of National Education and President of Terra Academia.
Participants also had the opportunity to explore "The 3M Experience", an interactive space dedicated to our innovations and solutions for a sustainable future!
