My wife flippin' HATES salespeople. But she LOVES Joseph Caprara at AdvizorPro. It happened in Florida at Wealth Management EDGE this past May. I realized early into our RIA GTM that we needed a data source. Not just any. THE BEST data platform. I IMMEDIATELY got the sense that AdvizorPro would come out on top. But I'm all about trying to DISPROVE that null hypothesis. No matter how hard I tried, AdvizorPro came out on top, every time. But it was Joe that clinched it. From our first call, I knew he was something special. Yeah, we talked business, but we mainly talked about snowboarding, travel, family, and bourbon. I KNOW it's a salesperson's job to make friends. But I KNOW ALL TOO WELL when it is faked. And Joe is 100% the real damn deal. Now, these data platforms are not cheap (no wonder, AP gives you superpowers). I had some really tough decisions to make. And Joe counselled me through them. Sorry Michael Magnan and Hesom Parhizkar, but when I asked Joe if I should drop 5 figures on a trip to EDGE or an AdvizorPro subscription??? Joe counselled me forgo an AP subscription and to invest in the conference. Then he built a list for me. Then he workshopped some plays with me. Then he fed me firm names and industry intel. THEN... I showed up in Florida. Nervous AF. Day 1. I had just awkwardly struck up my first conversation with an RIA exec. And out of the blue, Joe bursts into the room and shouts JOHN! Rolls right up, daps it up with me, give me a big hug, and starts shootin' the breeze like we'd been friends for a million years. That made me feel like a MILLION bucks. Hell, a BILLION bucks. The RIA execs OBVIOUSLY took notice. "Who is this nobody with the Canadian accent?" flipped to "hang on, this guy knows people". In an instant, a new piece of my brain was activated. That night at the cocktail party? Joe and my wife HIT IT OFF. We hung out the whole trip in the evenings and on the conference floor. We hit the Hard Rock on the the last night together. We shared wins and challenges from biz and from life. And my wife not only gave her blessing to Joe and spending money on AdvizorPro. But she gave it to the ENTIRE INDUSTRY. At the time, she was not convinced about the industry I'd chosen. Joe didn't just endear himself to my wife, but an entire industry. BUT I kept investing in video. I loaded up the calendar. Two more trips. Sorry Joe. Every call, I told him I wanted to sign with AP, but I had to prioritize other things. JOE DIDN'T BLINK. He kept helping me and rooting for me. It should come as no surprise that today, Auxesys is a VERY happy AdvizorPro client. My analysis was correct, the software, the data, the data enrichment, and the integrations are THE BEST. 7 months for Joe to close a deal. But because he was ALWAYS willing to do what was RIGHT and not what was EXPEDIENT - he won a friend, and a client, for life. Thank you Joe - love you brother. 🙏
