Nearly 300 North Texas #AATeam members flocked to AT&T Stadium to dish out #Thanksgiving meals and groceries to more than 5,400 families. 🦃 For the fifth year running, we’ve partnered with the Tarrant Area Food Bank and Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic for the Thanksgiving Mega Mobile Market, proving that teamwork makes the feast work! 🍁 At American Airlines, our mission to care for people on life’s journey extends well beyond the skies and we’re stuffing our hearts full by supporting nonprofits that lift up our communities. 💙

More than 200 students from 30 historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) joined the Black Enterprise Smart Hackathon, proudly sponsored by American, in Charlotte — our second-largest hub and an HBCU hotspot. But even better was the full-circle moment for Tasia Bolling, who participated in the BE Smart Hackathon in 2020, connected with the airline’s leaders, and by 2022, earned a spot in our ADEPT program. Fast forward to today — she’s an IT applications developer on the #AATechTeam! Tasia’s journey shows the impact the annual hackathon can have on a student’s trajectory. On this Veterans Day, and every day, we honor the brave service men and women who have served our country. Among them is World War II veteran Henry O. Langrehr, a proud member of the 82nd Airborne Division, who courageously parachuted into Sainte-Mère-Église on D-Day and landed through the roof of a greenhouse. We were honored to return Henry to Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day, revisiting that very house. His experience exemplifies the importance of preserving the stories of our nation's heroes and showing gratitude for their dedication to sacrifice.
