We’re reflecting on the feelings of honor and reverence our team felt participating in Veterans Day celebrations this year. We were invited to The White House Veterans Day breakfast, supported the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s 18th Annual Stand Up Up Heroes Gala, marched with Ares Management Corporation’s in the NYC Veterans Day parade, participated on a panel at University of South Florida, and saw our name on display in a big way thanks to Nasdaq. Our veterans deserve this level of love and support every single day and it’s an honor to work with them. When we think about Veterans Day, we think of valor, resilience, courage, and strength. Veterans have committed themselves to a mission greater than themselves, and they embody the highest ideals of service and sacrifice. We honor this legacy by empowering these individuals to reclaim their health, strength, and purpose. This drive to empower fuels everything we do at Avalon. Over the past few months, we’ve been relentlessly working to expand our reach and impact. We’ve connected with other Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) to amplify our reach, hosted “We Are Avalon” dinners to bring donors deeper into our mission, and shared our innovative approach on national platforms. Our work is rooted in the belief that veterans are not defined by their challenges but by their strength and resilience.
