These companies showcased their innovative ideas at the Robotics Factory Accelerate Program Showcase during Discovery Day and were part of the second Robotics Factory Accelerate cohort! But the journey didn't end there! These innovative companies were celebrated at a special graduation event this month, where they received their well-deserved recognition... and their big checks!🎉 Here’s a look at the incredible work they’re doing ⤵️ ▪️ForSight Assistive Devices (Nicholas Bhai): Dedicated to creating products to assist the visually impaired. ▪️Reclamation Factory (Georgia Crowther): Building the future of a distributed circular economy for plastics. ▪️Journey Robotics (Reeg Allen): Creating aviation automation solutions to improve safety and efficiency in airport and airline operations. ▪️Humotech (Josh Caputo): Providing a wearable robotics platform (Caplex™) that enables researchers to rapidly iterate and evaluate solutions for human mobility. ▪️HeadStrait Labs (Mary Squire and Alyssa Theroux): A female-led medical device company developing new technology to improve patient outcomes during prehospital care and ambulance transportation. As care shifts away from the hospital, new technologies and solutions are needed to manage the growth in drug spend in outpatient and ambulatory settings. The operational pharmacy problem of the past was how to support hospitals, the challenge of the future is how to scale and manage medications for hundreds of clinics. New possibilities are emerging. We are now providing digital visibility for medication management in over 10 locations, ranging from satellite pharmacies to specialty clinics. Not only have we enabled providers to better deploy, track, and manage medications, we have also streamlined workflows and enhanced safety. We are rolling out more sites and adding capabilities, focusing on light, flexible, scalable hardware; sensing that enables grab and go workflows; communication technology that unburdens healthcare IT; and analytics and automation that reduces costs. 💭 During last Thursday's Creative Lunch🥗, Senior Designer Michael Laskowski led an engaging discussion on the estimated 300 million people living with some form of colorblindness and how human-centered design principals can drive the creation of more inclusive products. The team explored how understanding color perception is critical, particularly when user safety is a factor.
