Solutions to our country's most pressing challenges do exist. But even the most promising strategies can't reach far enough, fast enough without significant resources. At Blue Meridian, we seek to transform the philanthropic marketplace, maximizing the impact of collaborative investing to improve the life trajectories of millions of young people and families across America. By pooling resources from multiple philanthropists, we unlock significant capital—enabling us to make large, multi-year investments in strategies that increase economic and social mobility in the US. Blue Meridian Partners scales solutions that increase economic & social mobility for young people & families in poverty
About us
Blue Meridian Partners is a pioneering philanthropic model for finding and funding scalable solutions to the problems that limit economic and social mobility for America’s young people and families in poverty. We know solutions exist, but even the most promising strategies cannot reach far enough, fast enough without significant resources. Hence, we bring philanthropists together to pool capital and scale solutions that target drivers of poverty from cradle to career. We operate with an investor mindset but measure success in terms of social impact. Viewing our grants as “investments,” we provide the flexible, transformative capital that visionary social sector leaders need to dream bigger and pursue long-term change. Beyond dollars, we provide critical capacity- and evidence-building support as well as strategic advice. Understanding economic mobility and racial equity are inextricably linked, we invest in strategies that work to dismantle structural inequities that have long excluded Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and other people of color from power and opportunity. We remain responsive to evolving challenges, while constantly exploring new collaborations. Ultimately, we want to transform the philanthropic marketplace and improve the life trajectories of millions of young people and families across America.

Whether it's volunteering, donating, or simply lending a helping hand, let's make a difference in our community.

During the launch event, our co-founder & co-CEO Connor Diemand-Yauman shared how expanding ACC’s cutting-edge training program nationwide will empower individuals stuck in low-wage work to transition into high-earning careers in the booming semiconductor industry. 📸 Check out these moments from the event! #OpportunityCoalition #Semiconductors #MeritAmerica #FutureOfWork #WorkforceDevelopment

Well said Jim Wehner! We're inspired by Purpose Built Communities’ dedication to empowering community-driven leaders who are “working day in and day out with neighbors to create places where everyone can flourish.”
I cannot overstate just how crazy smart and committed the Leaders of the network member organizations of Purpose Built Communities are. A couple of months ago, I got the chance to go to Wilmington Delaware to gather with fellow leaders doing place-based neighborhood revitalization. Being in a room with dozens of people all pushing against the heavy-duty issues of justice and equity, fighting to undo the concentrated forces of inequity that plague our places – it was refreshing and inspiring. Slowly but surely, we are all making incremental progress towards neighborhood flourishing. Everyone I spent time with is constantly innovating to bring about prosperity in place. They are working day in and day out with neighbors to create places where everyone can flourish. The work is really unique in each neighborhood, but the heart and the end goal is the same. In particular, I have to say that seeing what Logan Herring and the team at The WRK Group are doing in Wilmington was humbling. If you are not familiar, I encourage you to go check them out right now! Many weeks later, I'm still thinking about what I saw. Grateful for every chance I have to spend time with these incredible leaders. #leadership #placemaking #nonprofits #Communitydevelopment #revitalization

“Recently, I worked with the Council on Criminal Justice, serving on a task force examining long sentences with people of vastly different backgrounds and perspectives, from correctional leaders to judges and prosecutors. Through respectful discussion, we united on our shared belief that people can change—and should have the opportunity to do so.” - Sam Lewis, CEO, Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) People can change and so can our cultural narratives around criminality. That is why we invest in key touchpoints along the spectrum of justice system involvement, from diversion to re-entry and beyond. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dTiiEji Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC)

Proficiency in early grades reading is a predictor of academic and future success, with studies showing that students who read at or above grade level by third grade are more likely to graduate from high school, attend college and ultimately achieve economic mobility. The Annie E. Casey Foundation reports that the average annual income of adults proficient in literacy is nearly $63,000, significantly higher than the average of almost $48,000 earned by adults who score just below proficiency.
