2024 was a difficult year for our CPR community. In May our beloved founding executive director, Suzanne Delbanco, lost her four-year battle with cancer. Her family, the CPR staff, and many of you were deeply affected by her passing. As a tribute to Suzanne and her legacy we have put together the video below. In a follow-up to his bombshell report, The Guardian US's George Joseph exposes the devastating real-life effects of Parkview Health's pricing practices on Indiana employers and communities. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/g_hMrAW2 ▶ One employer was forced to drop health insurance entirely after costs skyrocketed by over 250% since 2007. “We are pretty much held hostage by where we can go,” he said. “There’s only one supplier in the whole area.” ▶ Another employer reported a 300% increase in health insurance costs since 2010, condemning Parkview’s “monopoly” on the local market for “absolutely destroying” his company’s bottom line. ▶ For one Hoosier family, rising medical debt owed to Parkview has meant halting contributions to both their retirement and their child’s college fund. ▶ Even state leaders are demanding answers. Democratic Indiana State Senator Shelli Yoder didn’t mince words: “Healthcare isn’t a privilege for the few—it’s a right for everyone.” The message is loud and clear: aggressive consolidation has REAL and DEVASTATING consequences.
