Ever wonder what happens to your recyclables once they leave the curb? ♻️♻️♻️ We're excited to tell you all about it! A few weeks ago we visited a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Grand Rapids and learned about their processes. In Detroit, our materials go to through a similar system at the RRRASOC facility in Southfield. Sad about the amount of materials that end up in the landfill? Us too. Luckily we have a drop-off facility called RecycleHere! at 5960 Lincoln St. where you can take unaccepted items like grocery bags and styrofoam to give them a second life. Need a recycling cart? Get one for FREE at ♻️ detroitrecycles.org ♻️ #DetroitSustainability #ReduceReuseRecycle #CityofDetroit #ClimateAction #TakePart
