📌 How can citizen-led initiatives improve urban life? 🔊 The Front Runner Case in Barcelona is tackling noise pollution in Plaça de la Virreina through community-driven solutions. By combining digital tools, creative design, and citizen participation, locals co-created Rut—an AI chatbot reflecting real neighbor stories. 🤖 Through QR posters & an interactive screen, Rut engages visitors, raising awareness and promoting respect for shared spaces. This initiative highlights how technology + creativity + collaboration can address urban challenges effectively. 💡 Building on this, a concrete collaboration was established with the Citizen Observatory LAB CSU to support TÀNIA, a local project by Lichen Social Innovation & Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). Activities are tailored to identified community needs, leveraging CitiObs partners’ expertise. In 2025, CitiObs will expand these learnings across other cities, strengthening collaboration and refining tools. 🔗 More info here: https://lnkd.in/dq7MHc7h • • • 📷 photo credits Manuela Reyes Guerrero #CreativeEurope #DistributedDesign #CitizenInnovation #Barcelona #UrbanSolutions #CitiObs #CommunityAction Fab Lab Barcelona
