Big 🚛 news today! A new $250 million program to offer affordable leasing for up to 500 electric trucks. This is exactly the kind of innovative financing that we need - and is now possible through the historic $27B Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. Congratulations to our partners Climate United & Forum Mobility. 80% of drayage trucks (that take goods to and from ports) are small fleets, many owned by small business owners. As we electrify tens of thousands of these trucks, we need approaches that include small business owners in the transition -- ensuring that communities *and* drivers benefit. As Matt LeDucq said, "For us, success means not just cleaner air for port communities, but also lower costs per mile for truckers." Congratulations to Beth Bafford, Michael Grossman, Jacqueline (Bruns) Torres, and team -- our Elemental Impact team looks forward to supporting the rollout!
