#FCPSTeacherTuesday “Growing up, I was fortunate enough to have teachers and coaches who made learning engaging and meaningful. I recall countless hours spent in after-school clubs like speech and debate, theatre, and choir where I began to discover the power of my voice and the importance of community. This would not be possible without the support of my teachers who spent those hours by my side, dedicated to helping me uncover my potential and foster a love of learning. Every day, I am proud to be an educator because it allows me to support the next generation of students like my teachers supported me.” Olivia Adams English Teacher Rachel Carson Middle School If you'd like to join the hashtag#FCPSFam and become a teacher with FCPS, apply now! https://bit.ly/3DtIspG

#FCPSTeacherTuesday “I joined the teaching profession because I have a passion for education and learning and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. There is immense joy derived from interacting with the students we serve, understanding their perspectives, and guiding them through challenges. Additionally, I had teachers who inspired me to enter the teaching profession because of their huge impact on my educational journey. I truly believe teachers have a lifelong impact on the students they serve.” Andrew Hahn Career & Transition Teacher Davis Career Center If you'd like to join the #FCPSFam and become a teacher with FCPS, apply now! https://bit.ly/3DtIspG

#FCPSTeacherTuesday “Seven years ago, I joined FCPS as an IA and enjoyed working with students with special needs. I worked full-time and took classes after work to get my teaching degree. It was worth it because as a second-year teacher, I am happy with the career decision I made. Building relationships with the students and their families has really been a great experience."
