Looking to fill some time and learn something new over the winter holidays? Expand your social care knowledge with "American Compassion: The Safety Net Podcast". Check it out ▶ https://hubs.li/Q030frmK0 The first two seasons and half of season three are available now: 🎧 Season 1 | We went back in time to the turn of the 20th century to explore poverty and wealth, philanthropy and charity, work, health and politics, and policy at a time when the idea of a safety net was just a dream, and we dove deep into what and who it took to make those dreams a reality. 🎧 Season 2 | We explored both the programs and legislation President Johnson created to build the safety net we have today and delved into why LBJ was so committed to civil rights, education, economic opportunity, and much more. We did this through both archived recordings and speeches and interviews with Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer Robert Caro. 📺 Season 3 | Co-hosted by The LBJ School of Public Affairs, these in-person conversations explore questions like: what will the outcome of the 2024 presidential election mean for the safety net? ✍🏻 Connections Blog: Findings from Accountable Health Communities ✍🏻 The Center for Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), recently published the third and final independent evaluation of the Accountable Health Communities (AHC) Model. The evaluators found that the AHC model was beneficial to Medicare and Medicaid members and that it reduced health care expenditures and avoidable hospital use. While the AHC model concluded in April 2023, CMS has been incorporating learnings into other CMMI models and regulations, impacting the entire healthcare continuum. In this blog, we explore the AHC findings, the policies they have impacted, and how Findhelp supports health-related social needs (HRSN) work (highlighting our partnership with Camden Coalition). 📖 Read the full story ▶ https://lnkd.in/g3rd2iQs #Findhelp #AccountableHealthCommunities #AHC #CMS #Healthcare #SDoH #SocialCare
