We are excited to welcome two new Pop Up Markets in Columbus County: Monday 3/3 at Cerro Gordo Baptist Church, and Wednesday 3/19 at Jerusalem Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. All food is distributed at no cost and includes pantry staples and fresh produce. There are no income, residency, or ID requirements to participate – all are welcome! We proudly support @eatwell-exchange-inc and its work to decrease health disparities through culturally relevant cuisine. EatWell Exchange hosts a culinary program in Raleigh to prevent diabetes with cultural foods from the African Diaspora. Participants receive nutrition education and cook healthy dishes with nutrient-rich ingredients. These meals are made with love and produce from the Food Bank. Participants leave with new culinary skills and fresh fruits and vegetables so they can make healthy lifestyle changes in their daily lives.
