Josiah Kwesi Eyison , thank you for sharing such an insightful and thought-provoking piece. The standout paragraph for me is this: “To truly catalyse sustainable economic growth and entrepreneurship across Africa, we must embrace a value chain system approach to investment. This method shifts the focus from isolated winners to interdependent networks, ensuring that each investment creates ripple effects across complementary sectors.” This is exactly the pragmatic approach we need as a country and continent. Africa is in a crucial building phase, and adopting a value chain system mindset—deeply rooted in the spirit of Ubuntu (“I am because you are”)—is essential. This approach ensures that our development efforts foster unity, resilience, and interconnected progress. By focusing on strengthening interdependent networks, we position ourselves for greater impact and long-term success, creating ecosystems where innovation thrives and investments truly transform lives. When we relate this to #education, especially #educationtechnology, it becomes even clearer how vital this mindset is. A robust education system is the bedrock of the transformation we seek. #Edtech has the power to create these enabling ecosystems by connecting learners, educators, startups, and industries in ways that foster collaboration and innovation. It allows us to build education systems that are not only inclusive and resilient but also aligned with the demands of our rapidly evolving economy. I encourage everyone to read this article and share their thoughts. These conversations are key as we collectively work towards meaningful progress and systemic change. Let’s keep pushing forward together!

#Korea will introduce AI-powered textbooks in subjects like maths, English, and informatics, starting in March 2025. These textbooks aim to revolutionize learning through personalized content that adapts to each student's pace and level using generative AI. Teachers will also gain real-time insights to enhance their lesson plans. Benefits of #AI textbooks include: - tailored learning for individual needs, - accessibility features like captions and translations, - support for students with special needs and multicultural backgrounds, - and the potential to bridge achievement gaps. However, the shift has sparked some debates. Concerns include: - risks to the privacy and security of students and teachers, - over-reliance on technology, - the urgent need for teacher training to integrate AI effectively. Will AI textbooks transform learning or create new challenges? The world is watching Korea’s bold experiment closely. Monitoring and evidence-based adjustments will be key to ensuring success. ➡️ Discover more in the latest #WorldEducationBlog: https://bit.ly/3W3twrq What is your take on AI in education?
