Last week, we hosted 100 dynamic women for our annual In the Lead event in Palm Beach, Florida. Over the course of two days, we discussed navigating the current environment, and heard from thought leaders on timely topics and issues spanning health and wellness, entrepreneurism, the future of women’s sports, and much more. Cameron Diaz, co-founder of Avaline alongside Katherine Power, shared her experience breaking into the wine industry: “We had to look at the roadblock that was being put up in front of us and, as women, say 'Great, we're just going to get over that hurdle and figure out how to make it happen'.” Gina Bartasi, founder and CEO of Kindbody, discussed the importance of investing in women’s healthcare: “The healthcare system is significantly more broken than you think... When thinking about the healthcare system, we go back to doing well by doing good.” Cathy Engelbert, commissioner of the WNBA, highlighted the recent breakthrough in women’s sports and the importance of keeping the momentum going: “Younger fans are going to be the future of sports. Gen Z and young millennial women fans this year are up 500%... We had fan data and we found ways to touch them and bring them into the WNBA community.” Thank you to everyone who joined us!
