As with many other sectors, #AI is transforming how companies in #healthcare and other highly regulated industries operate. Speaking at #Alloy2024, Humberto Alexander Lee, CEO and Co-founder of Alpine Health Systems, a High Alpha Innovation company, explained how AI's increasing ability to analyze patients' medical records and recommend individualized treatments and medications is "extremely impressive" and will only continue to make health providers' jobs easier in the years ahead. As High Alpha Innovation CEO Elliott Parker wrote in #TheIllusionofInnovation, corporations must strike a balance between efficiency and innovation. That includes large enterprises operating in the #AgBioscience space that are aiming to transform the food and agriculture industry for the better. Elliott will share more insights from his book and note how startups, corporations, investors, and policymakers can collaborate to unlock growth in AgBioscience — including through the creation of new startups — at AgriNovus Indiana's upcoming Quadrant event in Indianapolis on December 4. Consumers want greater insights into the origins of the food they eat. Food brands and restaurants want to build greater trust with customers. And farmers want greater financial security and secondary revenue. Make Hay, a High Alpha Innovation portfolio company co-created in partnership with Purdue DIAL Ventures, addresses all three of these pain points. We spoke with Make Hay CEO Scott Nelson to learn more about his extensive marketing and tech background, how his experiences are informing the development of the #MarTech platform, and his plans for the ag-centric startup. https://lnkd.in/gd36Q-kH #VentureStudio #VentureBuilding #Innovation

🛑 ✋🏼 It's Fieldbook Studio Sprint Week and I NEED YOUR RESPONSE - yes, you reading this. Would You Use #Crowdfunding to Bring a #Franchise or Brand to Your #Community? Please comment below. Background: We’ve been exploring the idea of using crowdfunding to help individuals bring popular emerging franchise brands to their communities. Traditional financing options like bank loans or personal savings can be barriers for some aspiring franchisees, especially with new location costs often exceeding $750k 🤑 . I’m curious to know: 1️⃣ Would you or someone you know consider using crowdfunding to raise money to bring a franchise or brand to your area? Why or why not? 2️⃣ What would make crowdfunding for this purpose appealing to you as a contributor/investor? For example: A stake in profits? Community recognition? Local economic impact? 3️⃣ Are there any specific brands or franchises you wish were in your area that you’d support via crowdfunding? 4️⃣ If you’re already a franchise investor or operator, would this model have helped you get started? Or would it complement your current approach? Lastly, if you’ve seen similar models succeed (like Franshares or Wefunder campaigns), I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences with them. Looking forward to hearing your insights and ideas!
