🎤 Overheard at CentHERing HIV Prevention: HER Voice Matters 🏥 At #HIVR4P 2024 in Lima, our #FPNN Community Reporters attended the powerful CentHERing HIV Prevention: HER Voice Matters session. Global experts discussed the unique challenges women face in HIV prevention and the urgent need for tailored solutions. 💬 Yvette Raphael (Kenya) emphasized: “PREP is revolutionary for women—it gives them the power to protect their own health. But prevention must be as prioritized as treatment. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution.” 💬 Dr. Vanessa Apea (UK) highlighted: “Prevention should be de-medicalized and accessible. Women need to see themselves as candidates for prevention and stay linked to care.” The message is clear: to achieve UNAIDS 2030 targets, HIV prevention strategies must be diverse, inclusive, and adaptable to women’s realities.
