🤝Over the past months, LCAMP’s Italian partners, including MADE - Competence Center Industry 4.0 and AFIL - Associazione Fabbrica Intelligente Lombardia, have actively engaged with regional stakeholders to showcase the transformative power of the LCAMP project for advanced manufacturing. 👉At the Jobshadoweur Project event in Florence, MADE introduced LCAMP’s Policy Recommendations and discussed synergies with other EU projects, sharing innovative pathways to support industry transformation and workforce development. 👉Following this, at the 34th BI-MU Exhibition in Milan, MADE and AFIL presented LCAMP’s resources to industry leaders and students, focusing on digital and green transitions for SMEs. [🗣️English transcript] What you're looking at is a robot playing table tennis. And it looks pretty cool. Now, we're not going to hide the fact that it's not very useful in everyday life, but it just goes to show the extent to which technologies are evolving. And beyond playing ping-pong, these new technologies are actually enabling innovation in the industrial, health and transport sectors, thanks in particular to connected, robotised and intelligent (AI) tools. And that's what we call Industry 4.0.    But new technologies mean new jobs. Specific skills are needed to develop these new tools.    To address this issue, the Tknika research centre has launched the LCAMP Learner Centric Advanced Manufacturing Platform project for CoVEs (centres of vocational excellence in French), in collaboration with 19 partners in 10 countries in Europe and Canada (the 10 countries will be shown on the screen). The aim is to create a platform linking vocational education and training centres specialising in 4.0 trades with businesses.    The idea is to train learners to become experts in their field so that they can meet the expectations of the professional world as part of the digital and ecological transitions.    To give a concrete example, the French partner is offering STI2D bac pro students from La Découverte high school (Decazeville) the chance to design and produce a robot in collaboration with several European companies and training centres thanks to the collaborative learning factory.    This Erasmus+-funded project aims to contribute to the growth, innovation and competitiveness of the Advanced Manufacturing 4.0 sector in Europe. 🌐 LCAMP's whole Consortium Online Meeting took place yesterday! LCAMP-ers consortium held a productive online meeting, hosted by TKNIKA, to review the project’s progress as we enter its second half. 📢 Weathering the Crisis: Job Retention Schemes and Employment during the Pandemic 🔎Eurofound's latest research report reveals how job retention schemes in the EU between 2020-2022 played a critical role in safeguarding jobs and incomes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
