Here’s a quick playbook to book your first 10 meetings as an SDR or a BDR 1. go over your uni /college/high school friends on LinkedIn and see who’s working at a relevant company. Contact them and ask for an intro to your persona 2. Go over your founders LinkedIn and do the same. Make your founders join you on calls to learn how they pitch 3. Reach out to 100 icp and say this “I just landed a position as #SDR at xyz and I feel a bit out of my depth. Can I ask you for a quick advice? (No sales pitch - pinky promise, pure advice)” On the call you ask them “what makes people like you explore or even be open to the possiblity of meeting with a company like ours” Whatever they say, now you have more knowledge than your entire marketing team (most of them m never talk to prospects) Expect 5-10 calls from this alone 4. Ask your sales director for access to closed lost - contact them and say “I see that you’ve been in contact with John from our team and decided to not go ahead, may I ask what is one thing you were looking for and didn’t find ?” Whatever they tell you- this would be your opening line with new prospect 5. Dead leads - leads that got every sequence your marketing team had to offer and still didn’t convert Reach out to them and ask to introduce them to your competitors. It will make them laugh or feel puzzled. In any case it would open the conversation for you for following step 4 with them. Do this for 2 weeks and you’ll know more than your founders and marketing team combined Share this with new SDRs. They don’t deserve to suffer.
