With the holidays around the corner, finding thoughtful gifts for people with dementia can be challenging, but it’s not impossible. The key is to choose items that are simple, safe, and tailored to their preferences while avoiding anything that might cause frustration. According to Dr. John Showalter, chief strategy officer at Linus Health, gifts that bring joy and comfort at any stage of dementia are ideal. To help, Care.com called on Dr. Showalter and other experts for gift ideas– whether for a birthday, holiday, or just because–that are designed to spark happiness and reduce the potential for agitation. https://lnkd.in/gghtH-i7 I #Dementia #AlzheimersDisease #BrainHealth #MildCognitiveImpairment

During Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, it’s important to recognize the 6.2 million Americans affected by the disease and to highlight the power of routine screenings and early diagnosis. Early diagnosis gives individuals the ability to make informed choices and access the best possible care. Reliable, quick, and affordable cognitive testing is essential and plays a vital role in providing this crucial early diagnosis. Check out our blog, which highlights the impact of dementia and how cognitive testing can make a difference: https://lnkd.in/gwPv4iju I #AlzheimersDisease #AlzheimersAwarenessMonth #BrainHealth #ArtificialIntelligence #DementiaResearch

We are honored to partner with Barrow Neurological Foundation, Davos Alzheimer's Collaborative, and Global Alzheimer's Platform Foundation in this transformational study. This work has the potential to revolutionize early diagnosis in primary care through AI-based cognitive assessments—offering patients the best chance to delay cognitive decline. Early intervention is key, and this initiative marks a significant step forward in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and in improving brain health globally.
We are honored to announce that we've received a grant from Davos Alzheimer's Collaborative —a pioneering worldwide initiative to cure Alzheimer’s disease and improve brain health—for a pilot study demonstrating the impact of AI-based cognitive assessments in the primary care setting to enable early diagnosis. “Identifying patients in the mild cognitive impairment stage and referring them to an Alzheimer’s specialist on time will give them the best chance of delaying cognitive decline," says Anna D. Burke, MD, Director of the Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Program at Barrow Neurological Institute. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gizWCAM2

At HLTH USA, Linus Health Chief Product Officer Dr. John Showalter spoke with the Planetary Health First Mars Next podcast about how Linus Health is bringing the power of AI to long-trusted cognitive tests to deliver rich insights and actionable clinical guidance. Early detection and intervention have transformed outcomes for numerous diseases, from cancer to cardiovascular conditions. Yet, outdated and impractical testing methods have held back similar progress in brain health — until now. Watch to see how we're opening a new window of opportunity for action by detecting early signs of cognitive impairment. https://lnkd.in/gMZzcxaa I #AlzheimersDisease #HLTHUSA #BrainHealth #ArtificialIntelligence #DementiaResearch
