This #GivingTuesday, we're inviting you to make a difference in the lives of US makers through Nest's Makers Future Fund. The Makers Future Fund breaks down barriers to financial growth by providing grants, expert coaching, and peer support to creative entrepreneurs. With guidance from industry leaders, participants learn to develop business models, financial projections, and long-term plans to achieve their business goals. Why does this matter? - Maker entrepreneurs are essential to our economy–small craft businesses are present in 99.9% of U.S. counties and making invaluable contributions in their local communities - Yet, 80% of makers say capital access is their biggest challenge. And, for makers of color, this gap is even more pronounced—20% are less likely to receive bank loans than their peers. With your support, Nest will provide creative entrepreneurs with the information, skills, and resources they need to thrive and make a real difference in their communities. Together, we can break down barriers and help creative entrepreneurs succeed. Donate today and make an impact this Giving Tuesday: https://lnkd.in/ehxrJ_6g!

On November 13, Hunt & Bloom held a day of shopping to benefit Nest at their store in Houston, TX! With special maker guests, NAN Collective by Brooke Wise, Chauncey and Coco by Mehek Ahmed and Nida Ahmed, and Sew Great by Nery Lucarini, all 3 small-businesses had the opportunity to sell their work on-site at the event. Closing out the evening with cocktails and canépes, the day was a success all around.
