Last week, Omnicom Media Group attended the 2024 ADCOLOR Conference and Awards in Los Angeles. ADCOLOR is the premier organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting diversity in the creative industries. The theme "Off Mute," united over 2,000 marketers, creators, and changemakers who came to learn, heal, and make good noise in the fight for diversity, equity, and inclusion. OMG and Omnicom leaders made a strong showing at the conference. We first heard from the five Chief Diversity Officers from the top advertising holding companies, including Omnicom’s Global Chief Equity & Impact Officer Emily K. Graham. She doubled down on why DE+I will remain critical to ensuring a thriving and just society. From main stage conversations to breakouts, Jessica D., Senior Director of Integrated Planning, Multicultural at OMD USA joined a panel to discuss ways to balance brand safety with cultural authenticity. After 1.5 days of powerful sessions and building connections, attendees gathered for a star-studded night to honor the diverse talent in our creative industries. From our ADCOLOR LEADERS to our FUTURES, these individuals are driving real change. OMG’s Director of DE+I Sakinah Charbeneau and class of 2023 ADCOLOR LEADER alum, is now shaping the program as a LEADERS Advisory Board member. “It is through initiatives like these and with our mission “Rise Up, Reach Back” that we can continue to empower our industry’s next generation of brave leaders,” said Criseli Saenz Director of ADCOLOR Programs and Associate Director of DEI at OMG. Thank you to our leaders Sara Porritt, Diana Blancone, Jonavan Smith, Jenise Ogle, Andriena Coleman, and Jason Rosenbaum, PHR for representing OMG and to ADCOLOR for creating a sacred space for community to gather. #BeOMG #OffMute #ADCOLOR2024
